“Lovely spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

We dropped in here after a hard afternoon's shopping on High Street. I had left it too late for lunch - be aware this is something to watch out for in Picton, the kitchens don't just stay open all day into the evening (or much past 8 pm either, if you arrive late).

However Le Café was buzzing - we got a table outside looking across at the Sound, perfect. Some of us had coffee, others wine - and a lovely antipasto plate to share. They must make their own dried tomatoes, I have to tell you they were just ripe and bursting with flavour, stand out! Also a lovely looking selection of cakes and treats inside

“A great meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

While we were in Picton we greatly enjoyed a supper at Le Cafe! The fish was mouthwateringly delicious, tasty and fresh, the service fine, the atmosphere funky, the views up the Queen Charlotte Sound memorable and the opportunities to eat, enjoy and support organic, local and free-range food was the best. We love to eat our values! The dessert was hard to share so we ordered another!

“Best meal in Picton.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

We stayed 4 days in Picton and tried all the waterfront restaurants at least once. Le Cafe had the best food of them all. The fish soup was fantastic!

“Great food & views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Had dinner at Le Cafe this week on a very busy night. Good service and the food was very good (bit more sauce on the pasta would be good). Food a little different from the average fare-ie a game dish, home made pasta and the cheaper pasta option. Home made icecream and sorbet was excellent. Food is well priced. Great cafe with the best views over the water in Picton with great indoor & outdoor seating. Love that they have no fried food-so no horrible smells from the kitchen. Recommend this cafe to all visitors.
