“Golden chips and the best deep fried fush, anywhere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

In a country that worships fish& chips, this take-out style eatery is busy as,because it deep fries the bounty of the sea, unloaded from the fishing boats and served with perfectly cooked chips. You can eat right here at one of their outdoor tables,or dangle your legs from the pier's edge and devour your morsels. Beware!! the seagulls are gunning for your lunch, just waiting for you to look away at the attractions that abound on the wharf. It is uproarious to watch the hover, swoop and gobble.

“Friday fish night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Fantastic selection of fish...a little greasy but the flavour more than made up for that...would certainly eat there again in a heartbeat....

“high quality fish and chip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

The fish was nice especially the grill fish that was quite difficult to find in other fish and ship shops in Christchurch. The service was just OK but the price a bit higher than other fish and ship shops in CHCH. All in all, I am impressed with the quality of the fish and the beautiful view of the restaurant.

“Awesome, and really cheap.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

This place is a welcoming sight in-amongst expensive restaurants and not a whole lot else apart from a little supermarket. I had the grilled fish of the day a couple of times and it was some of the best fish I've ever had, the chips were awesome too.

Down to earth prices make it well worth checking out.

“well, the fish was good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

The fish was quite good and the portion was well more than adequate.

That said the chips were soggy, the service consisted of an assembly line take out queue and there was limited seating with a very small cafeteria style seating.

In fairness though, it was a Saturday summer afternoon so there was a large crowd and they had to grind out a lot of meals.
