“A little style over substance but worth a visit nevertheless”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Visited for a dinner. Go early to avoid not getting in and having a long wait. The foods are tapas style and tasty. The lamb dish was good as to was the chargrilled chicken. The beer selection was ok and the starers interesting. The atmosphere is large and expansive. Be prepared to sit at long hare tables.

“Great food in a relaxed atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

My husband and I went to Bread in Common for lunch and got there early so didnt have to wait.
The restaurant is in an old converted warehouse and the decor is very rustic.
The food was delicious, the lamb ribs the best I have ever tasted and the bread and homemade butter was fantastic. There is a varied wine list and beers ontap and the coffee was of high standard.
This is a must visit when in Freo and we will be back.

“Yummy Brunch/Lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

Busy but no wait for a table at lunchtime Saturday. Temperature outside was sizzling, surprisingly lovely and cool inside considering the warehouse setting. Prompt service kept the water glasses full the entire meal and order was served in a reasonable time. Scrambled eggs sitting on a slice of homemade bread were deliciously creamy and tasty. Rump steak sandwich didn't stay on the plate long, even the toasted ham and cheese served with chutney was gobbled up by our 7yr old. Banana smoothie was nice but dear at $10 (making childs meal over $20). Shared tables made it easy to check out other options and we will definitely be more adventurous our next visit. Negative would be the volume of music which made conversation difficult and not a lot of options for kids.

“Ticks almost all my boxes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2013 via mobile

Great atmosphere, busy, buzzing, prepare to wait for a table, no bookings, watch the chefs at work and enjoy some new dishes not seen in Perth before. We waited close to an hour, but you can nibble on bread and salami while doing so. The decor is quirky and classy, the food is very interesting - try the Pork neck!! Be patient, the wait is worth it!

Had Brunch-menu mixed - picked wrong dish for me- but switched with Hubby so OK! Service excellent- location fab- building been renovated to great standard in a warehouse in Freo, Great atmosphere if you can bear the noise! Food very tasty, good flavour enhanced by fresh herbs grown in big tubs at entrance. Will we go back, yes !!
