“Lovely views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2014 NEW

A nice place to splash hot feet, on a very hot day. An icecream at the beach was also very welcome. A place where people come to see the sights, and enjoy the scenery. You never know what's going to happen in this place! On a Sunday afternoon, we had to wait for about 10minutes for a huge group of people bicycling past - in all sorts of outfits/bikes. One bike even had a carrier of a different nature - it had as part of the structure, a house tap welded on! If only I'd had the camera ready!!

“A Must Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2014

My review is my overall feeling of Fremantle, rather than just a particular area of the city.
There is a very eclectic mix of shops, bars, cafes etc, which in turn are frequented by an eclectic mix of folk, ranging from; the beautiful people strutting their stuff in high fashion clothing,to ancient Hippy types, although the latter have declined in number, since my last visit a decade ago, must have departed to 'The big love in,in the sky' bless 'em. Still there's plenty of people watching to enjoy. The architecture is a sheer joy to behold, although a bit unsettling when you realise so much of it,was built by forced labour.
It's also quite easy to spend an hour by the docks, watching the ships loading and unloading.
In essence the overall ambience of Freo is fantastic.

“Super Kids & Doggy Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2014

Right in front of Hotel Esplanade, kids had a great time playing, enjoying the fresh air and spidy web climbs. We were in luck, as owners with gorgeous husky doggies had a meet-up and super experience for all in the family

“A Nice, Historic Walk along Freemantle's old Waterfron”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2014

This is a real oasis in Freemantle, and is very close to the city center. There is great shade, the ferris wheel, and nearby historic hotels and restaurants. We were very close to a lot of the other historic buildings fronting on the quiet harbor. The walk was pleasantly flat as well!
