“Large room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2014

Very small hotel but got one of the largest rooms to the front looking onto the small street the hotel is on. Based in an old fortified town everything is within walking distance and the museum has a history walk to match. Lovely little Bar/Restaurants dotted about the small squares.
Hotel has a restaurant but has a limited menu but plenty of little restaurants around for every taste, for the best steak in town just turn right outside the hotel and walk a hundred yards up the street the restaurant on your right does the best in town.
Room was large but could have done with a deep clean, large bathroom with corner bath and big shower.
Town has lots of these little curiosity shops loved it all.

Room Tip: Check in late as they give the smaller rooms to the early arrivals.

Love this hotel. Lovely staff who delivered our bags to our room up steep stairs. A first in Holland. Large room with big bath and extreme comfort. Dinner in restaurant delicious. Highly recommend this hotel Nice breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice A beautiful comfortable place to stay and dine.

Almost too much of a gem to review; rooms are nicely decorated, but not frilly, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is delicious, the hotel is in a wonderful old building and the whole of Brielle breathes a friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Only stayed for 4 nights , room was up very steep stairs but once there it was exquisite and well worth Euro 135, Dining in bar, dining section or garden terrace , ate in all areas food was extremely good and not expensive, staff were warm and friendly, sadly had to move for my last 3nights as fully booked, and experience to hopefully enjoy again in the future.

Room Tip: Just go with the wind

I have visited Brielle many Times and stayed in every hotel in this Lovely town.
This Hotel is by Far the best.

+++ Positives
Great Location in Brielle.
Very spacious Rooms
Great customer service
Restaurant food is excellent.

--- Negatives
Rather Expensive
Breakfast is not the best.

When Visiting Brielle Be sure to check what Time of the Year they Have Festivals.
If this is your thing, they are an amazing time to Visit, the town comes alive with People, colours banners etc.
If you would like a quiet stay in a lovely little town however, then it may be best to avoid festival time. The prices increase dramatically and all of the best restaurants are difficult to get booked.

Not many rooms in this place, and they're all a bit different, but the sign outside says it's one of the oldest hotels in Holland. A fun place to arrive at, climbing steep stairs to oddly-shaped rooms. Renovation is top quality, nice new bathrooms and good heating. You wouldn't say 'extravagent' but I'm not sure the Dutch have any time for that! Great location, Brielle is a perfect little town. If you're a runner, make sure you do a lap or two of the city wall.

Room Tip: I like the room on the (pedestrianised) street, but if you want quieter room ask for one at the back...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

For visiting Rotterdam On business, this is a welcome change from the typical business hotel I usually stay in. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was nice with separate tub and shower. The rooms are named, not numbered, which gives you an indication of the number of rooms, as well as the personal attention you get from the brasserie/hotel staff, which are the same. The food is also quite good at the brasserie, so I don't know of any reason to go anywhere else. Brielle itself is a lovely midieval town and I would highly recommend a visit to the museum there. The only issue is lack of wifi in the rooms, so bring your own hotspot if you need it. Otherwise a great place to stay for visiting Brielle or the industrial part of Rotterdam/Europoort. I'd love to go back with my wife next time for a romantic weekend.
