“A breathtaking experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014

If you are in or near Interlaken, make sure you take some time to visit Trummelbach falls. What you might read about in guide books doesn't even come close to the experience of visiting. I had never seen anything like it; the power and noise of the water is completely humbling. We visited on a grey and rainy day, so while the views on our walk weren't great, the falls weren't affected by the bad weather. It is not to be missed!

“Utterly beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

This was top of my list on our visit to Interlaken-I love caves, waterfalls and rocks and this has them all in breathtaking combination. We took the lift to the top and followed the series of chutes down through the mountain, stopping at each viewing platform, the power of the water is awesome carving the rock into some beautiful shapes. The falls are lit up in many cases and the viewing platforms are unobtrusive so as not to obscure the lovely views. The geologists out there will notice some lovely little deformation features on the way down too.
Wear sturdy shoes as there are a lot of steps and some of the rock can get a little slippery. This isn't really suitable for anyone claustrophobic as some of the passages are a little narrow and people do tend to congregate on the viewing platforms. I'd also probably add-unless you have a fantastic camera and photographic skills to match, don't try to take pictures in here-there is far too much spray and they most likely won't come out-just enjoy the spectacle!
Its very well priced, there is a free car park and its in the midst of the equally beautiful Lauterbrunnen valley-go and enjoy!

“Breathtaking marvel of nature !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

We visited Trummelbach on the recommendation of my uncle. What this is, is basically 'indoor falls'. There are ten main falls, and you reach the the mid level by a stupendous lift, not a normal one, but one that goes diagonally, really hard to describe. You see the falls closely, from a cave like structure, and stairs take you from one fall to the next. The steps are safe enough for senior citizens, as my grandmother easily climbed them. Just be sure to hold on to the railings, as they can get wet. Be sure to get a camera with a great flash/low light imaging, as the dim light inside prevents you from taking great pictures from a normal camera. the falls can be heard even from outside the whole structure, and they are really something to behold, especially the last one. Since the whole activity only takes about 2 hours, I highly recommend it.

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Trummelbach Falls were very impressive. Visitors can either walk all the way to the top or walk up the hill to take the elevator which takes you partway up the mountain where you can continue to hike to the top where the falls start. There are several places to stop and view the falls. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes as some places are a little slippery because of the spray from the Falls. Highly recommend seeing.
