5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2013

Stayed here just for one night, but we really enjoyed it. Our room was clean, big and spacious, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with bath. I think it was room 12. You can check the website of the hotel, every room has different style and decoration. You can choose your room (if available) at booking. We did not try the breakfast.

The hotel itself is very near the center of the town, 2 minutes walk from the main shopping street. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

Room Tip: Check the hotel website to see the rooms and choose your preferred one at booking.

Stayed here on a cycling holiday. Quite easy to find - the reception is the bar which is also a bowling alley !! Room was lavishly furnished with huge bed and picture framed TV. Shower had more controls than the space ship Enterprise. Swimming Pool is nothing more than an glorified pond. Breakfast was a bit disappointing but adequate. Dire shortage of bars and eating places nearby - eventually found an excellent very traditional Slovakian restaurant.

We pretty chose Komarno by tossing a dart at our map!!..After a bit of on-line research and also with our trusted travel agent we decided on the Bow Garden..So glad we did!!..At check in they only just then noticed we had our 7yr old with us (even though they were pre-advised) and immediately gave us a free upgrade to an apartment.. The pizza and bowling alley and pool room are a great plus for kids..Too bad we were too late for the "beach" volley ball tournament..The proximity to the bridge to Hungary was a large plus too..The bathtub in the room could pass as a small pool itself..The small outdoor pool was great in the scorching (46c) heat..Massive "framed" TV in the room was great for our boy..It also appears the the Bow Garden is the "in place" for the locals as well..I only wish we had booked more days there!!..Very affordable room rates and very affordable bar and restaurant rates..

Room Tip: On-site ourdoor or indoor parking is free of charge and gives good peace of mind.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a bike tour from Vienna to Budapest. It is a bit hard to find and then you walk in amazed at a lovely garden with small pool and then a bowling alley inside. Very unusual. The rooms very spacious, clean with all facilities in good order. Staff were very good and friendly even though English was a bit difficult for them. The service in the garden area was good and the pool very refreshing after a hot and dusty bike ride. Breakfast a bit limited and a type of a la carte rather than the buffet style we were used to. But, it was a very nice hotel and certainly value for money. Recommended.

As previous reviewers, we stopped here as part of a cycle trip along the Danube.
Well, we arrived dripping wet due to unseasonably bad weather.
We were pleased to find a friendly welcome (I think they thought we were nuts!!) and we're shown to our respective rooms.
The rooms were large, individually decorated and really nice and clean.
We even had a huge picture frame around our huge TV in our room.
We ate in the hotels restaurant that night and we were served a very nice meal, albeit slowly.
The bowling alley set up is a bit strange I must say, but it gave us something to do whilst we dried out and warmed up.
The downsides... Well considering this place seems to have a lot of cyclists, there were no drying facilities. The rads in our room were off because it was summer. But with no alternative, we had to get quite imaginative with our drying methods.
One of our parties bed collapsed as she got into bed and had to be moved into the last available room late at night.
The breakfasts had to be about the worst of the trip. Limited in choice and not really very tasty at all.
Did it do us for what we needed? Yes... Could they put just a little more effort in to make it a great quirky hotel? Yes... Sadly.

The photos on the website have something of the rural idyll about them. and the garden is a lovely place to sit. We found something a little weird about the gilded rooms, with little outside view The telly in our room was the largest we have ever seen, massive mirrors, massive bed. Good bathroom.

Our bicycle tour company booked the hotel for us, as part of a Vienna to Budapest bike tour. The location was quite convenient to the bike trail and the train station (we skipped part of the ride by taking the train). Komarno is an interesting town.

Stowed the bikes in the garage, took luggage to the large, attractively appointed room, dark green with gilded picture frames, including the television. Then we ate a nice lunch in their garden restaurant.

We walked around town to look at monuments and statues. Found a vinoteck with the help of a local man eager to be of assistance. He followed us to the store to provide English support and converse with the foreigners.

We intended to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, but to our astonishment there were businessmen having cocktails in the bowling alley and some German bicycles had chartered the entire restaurant for their own use. The hostess pointed at the smoking section, where we could be served, but that was unacceptable. The town was shut for the night, nowhere to go but in. Luckily, we had ham and cheese and fixings in our panniers, so we ate a light dinner in the room.

Bad night's sleep, the single mattress was too bouncy. J had problems with the duvet. The bathroom has a large bathtub, but no shower. M does not like tubs, settled for a sponge bath in the sink.
