“Great attitude”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

We did not stay here but ate in the restaurant where everything we had was superb. The staff were most pleasant and organised tickets for us to visit the salt mine. I dropped my mobile phone while I was there and left without it but the staff tried to locate me to return it to me. I did retrieve it.

We were looking for something near the salt mine in Wieliczka and this hotel was great choice. I can recommend the hotel to anybody who is looking for accommodation in this part of Krakow. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were helpful. Communication with the hotel was smooth and everything was prepared according to my desire (parking, entry to the mine ...) This hotel was one of the best hotels where I have ever been.

After an in depth visit thru the salt mine, the wife, mother In law and myself settled in for a bite to eat. The service was very quick and friendly. We were surprised with a complementary dish from the chef which was very tasty and refreshing. The experience was first rate and recommend to anyone visiting in the area.

Being on a "budget" this hotel was a treat. Many hotels have nice rooms but what stood out to us was the wellness/spa area. We used it that night and again the next morning at 7am, normally we have found they do not open that early. It was clean and nice. The room was also quiet and there was air conditioning which is usually not present.
My one complaint was the breakfast bar (included with the price), we came about 9am, one hour after it was opened and most of the spread was gone. We expected more to be brought out but for the 30-40 minutes we were there nothing was refurbished. Several people came in after us and had even less. Make sure you go early to get the good stuff! The cappuccinoes rocked though, we had several.
We walked to the mine for the tour at 11am (3hr tour), we left the car in the free secure parking lot they have. Very convenient for our checkout day.
It would have been nice if we got a discount at the mine, but that is just us, we are always looking for the deals.

Cecilia was our waitress and she was so dear and sweet, we ate outside and it was wonderful! The food and wine was excellent! My sister, her husband and teenage son and my teenage son can be hard to please- but they all rated the service and food- that is our dinner and desert - 5 stars! We also give Cecilia credit because she was so nice and made sure everything, our food and drink and even our seating was perfect! We also saw the Salt Mines, a must see for all!

Room Tip: we didn't stay in the hotel, I will stay next time!

I didn't stay here but I was sorry I didn't after myself and my fiance had lunch here. We went in after visiting the salt mines next door. The restaurant was spacious and beautifully decorated and the waiter was extremely friendly and polite. We ordered main courses and drinks and then our waiter arrived with a complimentary starter of pate. I am not usually a fan but found it delicious and the main courses were excellent too. The food was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it. The whole lunch came to 68pln (about 17euro) which, for a four star hotel, was extremely reasonable. Definitely drop in for a bite if you are visiting the salt mines. The hotel is literally a minute away which was great since it was raining heavily that day.
