This hotel right in the center of Riga in the old town is rather small but cosy. Being at the hotel for the first time we had ordered a economy room, which we found very small. No problems upgrading to a larger room. Being in the old town, parking is a problem but a few blocks away there is a parking house. The breakfast buffee was included in the price. The location of the hotel is perfect.

Man-Tess is in a great spot in the old downtown. Rooms are very clean, but the place has clearly not been renovated since the early 90s. The bathroom was consequently pretty tired, e.g. sink had permanent discoloration, tile a little sketchy, etc. However, things were all quite clean so I can't complain. Overall this is a fine place for a night, but don't expect too much atmosphere. The breakfast is pretty good, with a small buffet of breads, meat, cheese, and a few pastries. At $65, a good value all considered.

just returned from a 3 day trip to Riga, staying at the Hotel Man-Tess. It was a lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, nice big rooms, lovely comfortable bed. There was a large bathroom with bath, shower and heated towel rail. The breakfast was buffet style, everything well presented with lots of freshly made coffee. The staff were all helpful, friendly and kind. This hotel was very well situated in the centre of the old city, the airport shuttle dropping us off a few minute walk away. We had a wonderful time in Riga and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done Hotel Man-Tess!!!

Room Tip: There were no stag parties at the time of year we were there, but were in a room which was on the ma...

Hotel Man-Tess is very lovely and small hotel with excelent location in the Old town, Riga.

It is just few steps away from excelent shopping centre Galerija Centrs which has also grocery Rimi on the 1st floor. Also Central market of Riga is near just hundreds of meters away.

Staff of the hotel is so friendly and hospitality is excelent. This small hotel is excelent for adult couples to spend relaxing weekend in Riga. Only 11 rooms in the hotel.

Alina, reseptionist, with others were so friendly and helpful with travellers problems what ever they were. Thank You very much!

We spend our Xmas 2011 in this hotel and we didn´t expect much but we got plenty.

We wish to get back there soon again!

Room Tip: Select Superior room. A lot nicer than Suites are.

Well located in the old Riga. We had a large, wooden and clean room on the fourt floor (n° 43). Well equiped bathroom with big shower. In the room there's a window facing old buildings but it wasn't possible enjoy the beautiful view because of a kind of fixed net; the only drawback to the hotel if I'd say a little thing not perfect of a beautiful hotel.
Breakfast is ok with eggs, cheese, ham, fresh fruit and a lot of delicious latvian cookies.
Staff very pleasant.

We stayed on the third floor in this hotel and were blown away by the gigantic room size... probably the largest we have stayed in all of Europe... It was a little bit of a hike just to walk from the bed to the bathroom ; >)

The room was clean with beautiful hardwood floors and beautiful stained wood finishings. Our room was right on the street, but noise was never a problem for us. The staff was very helpful and provided friendly assistance to us when we needed it.

The location was great. Right in the center of town. The entrance to the hotel was just across the street from a large shopping mall and grocery store. Located near many of the nice restaurants... a short distance from the opera house... a ten minute walk from the train and bus stations... a ten minute walk from the large flea and food market area.

The breakfast was basic, but had enough variety and enough food to keep us full and happy. And one of the best things about this hotel is that the price is extremely reasonable for the location and amenities.

We highly recommend this place.

We stayed in Hotel Man-Tess while visiting friends/family in May, 2011. The room we had was very large and had a balcony on Wagner Street (Riharda Vāgnera iela). It was clean and comfortable, with good wifi.

The location is fantastic. In the past we stayed at a B&B in Mezaparks, which is a long tram ride from old town. This is so much more convenient. Being on the edge of old town, it is easy to catch the airport shuttle, but it is close to everything I want to visit as a tourist. It could have been more quiet - late night revelers - but that is what you get in old Riga.

Breakfast was generous and very good. breads, cheeses, sausages, scrambled eggs, tomato and cucumber, plus pastries, cereals, juice, tea, and such.

The staff mostly spoke very good English and were friendly. We were very satisfied with the service.

Riga is a beautiful city with great food and amazing architecture. It is easy to walk and trams will get you almost anywhere efficiently. There are loads of food, drink and entertainment options.

Next time we visit, we will stay at Man-Tess again.
