There is no need to take a taxi from the airport to get to St Peter’s Boutique Hotel. When entering the arrivals hall just go to the tourist information on the left hand side and buy your ticket to the public transport (trams, trolley buses and buses) in Riga. A 3-day ticket costs 7 EUR, a 24 hour ticket 2.50 EUR and a single ticket 0.60 EUR. You can buy the ticket from the bus driver but that will cost you 1.20 EUR and you should have the exact amount of money. Coming out of the airport building you turn to the right and follow the signs for public transport. The bus stand for bus 22 is on the other side of the parking. (When returning to the airport bus 22 will take you to the departures’ entrance.)

You should get off the bus at the first stop (also the tram stop) after crossing the river at “11 Novembra Krastmala”, the stop for Old Town. Go down into the pedestrian tunnel, walk away from the river and turn to the right at the tunnel’s end. After 60 meters you’ll take Peldu Street on the left, pass a few houses and you’ll find the hotel on the left at Peldu iela 23. I realized later that by staying here I had avoided dragging my luggage along the Old Town’s narrow pavements and cobble stone streets.

I got a big room looking out to the quiet street and there was no noise, as I earlier had read in the reviews, during my three nights’ stay, including a Saturday night. My room had a huge double bed with reading lamps, an easy chair, a writing table with chair and table lamp. Closing the thick curtains will keep the light out.

In the bathroom I found a bath tub with shower, hair drier, shower cap, shower gel, soap and a bath robe. The light at the mirror by the basin was nice and bright.

I found six unused wall sockets in the room and one in the bathroom so charging your laptop, mobile phone and tooth brush won’t be a problem. The wifi worked fine in the room. There is a guest computer in the reception connected to the reception printer so you can easily print your boarding card after checking in over internet.

The breakfast, served 8-11, varied a bit during my stay but had all I could ask for: three types of bread, croissants, hard boiled eggs, egg halves, marinated herrings, fresh salad, tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, cucumber, fresh fruits, yoghurt, sour whole milk, corn and bran flakes, and more. The hot stuff was porridge, pancakes, poached/fried eggs, scrambled eggs, grilled vegetables, bacon and hot dogs. If you’ve got a sweet tooth you will enjoy the chocolate croissants and four or five sweet cakes and shortbread.

I tried the hotel restaurant one night and found the food very nice and with the bill came the nice surprise that hotel guests get 15% discount on food (not drinks).

I do recommend St Peter’s Boutique Hotel for its good location close to trams and airport bus, for its marvellous breakfast but most of all for its courteous, helpful and efficient young staff.

From the outside the hotel look poor, but it is much better when you see the inside. We had junior suite and it was big, clean and nice. The breakfast is differant, but nice and the breakfast room is beautiful.

Hotel is indeed nice and comfortable, but watch out on loudly laughing and talking from the backyard... it is probably, bacause the club nearby. Going back to the core point - hotel; nice service, good brakfast, good location. Room was clean and equipped with everything we needed.

Beautiful little hotel located in the centre of Riga. It represents great value, definitely a four start hotel. There is a few decent Latvian restaurants (as well as the standard western stuff, TGI Fridays etc.) near by and plenty of bars. The hotel is easily reached from the airport via the Nr. 22 bus to Stockmann Centre and then a short walk. We were a group of lads in our mid to late 20's and it was much more than we needed, would be best suited to more sophisticated travelers. The hotel is surrounded by a few bars, they didn't wake us up (mostly likely because we'd been out drinking ourselves) however the hotel provide ear plugs as standard if it became an issue.

Stayed in Room 14 - a suite - and was very happy with cleanliness and comfort. Others have complained of road side noise but was not a problem as quiet mid week when I was there.

Large room by home standards, reasonable wi-fi, and decent size lounge area (with fridge) and bathroom .

Was nice to be able to sit downstairs beside a real fire.

I needed an early check in and late check out and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - very good communication prior to arriving.

Room Tip: Would go for a suite if you have the $'s as good value

Stayd for 2 days with a colleague.
Indeed renovated hotel, but probably 15 years ago.
My colleague had his room at the street's side. Very noisy: drunk people shouting and singing.
Good breakfast till 11pm, but they remove everything at 10:30.
Old bed, pillow very very bad, duvet too small (and I am only 180 cm).

Room Tip: Not at the side of the street.
