“A beautiful cathedral - and a beautiful view from the tower!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

The St. Peter's Church is the biggest in Riga, and is well worth a visit. The tower is also a great spot to see the city from high above.

The only thing we didn't quite like, was that there were a lot of paintings on display. Lots of the paintings were beautiful, but it kinda felt wrong to have a lots of paintings on display in a cathedral. (We didn't quite get if the paintings were for sale or not.)
But even so; the history of the church, and the view from the tower makes this a "must see" in Riga.

“niceeee!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

The Church is located on Old Town area.
I visited Riga with my friend during holidays in May and we had great time while sightseeing Old Town in Riga. It's unbelievable how old all buildings and monuments are there and still in good condition, renovated and well-kept! It's a pleasure to take a lot of photos in that kind of place!
You can walk around from one building to another and never be bored, also from one restaurant/bar to another as they've plenty of them! Prices are okay, not very high as it should be in the most recognizable and famous place in Riga. I'm very glad I had a chance to see Riga!

“Beautiful Church”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

The church and surrounding area beautiful. However, I did not enjoy my stay there was no warmth or welcome. Cost expensive and felt I got ripped off in cafes, taxi, bars. Food was basic, most of my fellow travellers on the way home felt the same, would not return

“very peaceful”

A nice church just to go and have a seat. Not one of the best i have seen, but still nice to have a look at the stained glass + artefacts.

“Great views from the top”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Besides the great view from the top, I had the chance to enjoy an art exposition inside the church. Take advantage to visit the Town Hall, Blackhead's house and Museum of occupation near by.
