Everything was superb about this hotel, apart from some of the rooms overlooking a grill house which seems to attract very large and very noisy groups. As it happens, I got back quite late and exhausted and mostly slept through it, but a light sleeper may wish to insist on a room to the rear of the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel in july 2009 for 3 nights. The hotel is well located at the edge of the old town, close to a number of nice restaurants. The staff were helpful.

The room was fantastic, huge, well designed with comfortable beds, and enormous television and a couch and arm chair. Nice bathroom too.

Breakfast was very good. Lots of selection, expresso machine and nice breakfast room in the basement.

To be recommended.

Yet another example of Trip Advisor steering me in the right direction. I found cheap flights with Baltic Air for a 4 night trip to Riga in May, and booked an upper level suite with Hotel Centra. We loved visiting Riga, and I think much of it had to do with this hotel. The location is great and the staff are friendly and helpful (including the airport pickup service).

The room was fantastic – modern, expansive, comfortable, quiet… I could go on and on. Spectacular. Plus – to top it all off, the breakfasts were without a doubt the greatest hotel breakfasts I have had in Europe! A variety of hot and cold options, changing slightly every day… I looked forward to going down to the restaurant every morning. I cannot emphasize this point enough.

I’m very much looking forward to my next trip to Riga – any excuse to stay at Hotel Centra again!

we only stayed at the hotel two nights, but the room was spacious, and the rest of the amenities were also above average. the location was also nice---walking distance from the bus station, where we arrived from.
