For anyone interested in the history of Latvia from 1938-1945 war years, this museum is a must. It describes Latvia under Soviet occupation and the Nazi invasion and the suffering of the citizens during this period. It starts out with a realistic barrack that a lot of Latvian citizens had to endure in labor camps in Soviet Union. My grandfather was one of the people rounded up, fraudulently charged as anti-soviet, sent to Siberia and shot. I have been through this museum twice and it was hard emotionally to understand what these people had to endure. I highly recommend a visit here!
