“Amazing Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We took this tour last winter and it's one of the best memories of Riga. Our guide Angeles, even if he had to deal with more people than usual, was funny, witty, intelligent and had an incredible grasp of English. The tour was full of unusual and often amusing tidbits of obscure information that I bet many of the locals don't even know. At the end of it we were throwing money at our guide(even though it's free), and it was worth every penny.

“Interesting Alternative Tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

This was an interesting alternative tour avoiding the old town and venturing a bit further afield.
There is plenty of walking and you do need to keep up, but we did cover a lot of ground in two and a half hours.

“Fabulous tour renamed by our group as "Crazy Lady Tours"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

Our experience was entirely positive with Arhus our witty and informative guide who shared many amusing and interesting anecdotes about the city. It was great to get taken out of the Old Town into the Moscow District and to see sights off the beaten track.

Our guide deserves particular praise however for the cool, calm and professional way in which he dealt with an unprovoked attack from an inebriated local women who accosted him and tried repeatedly to him him with her handbag, swinging it wildly while yelling abuse. At first we thought it was organised street theatre and part fo the tour but it soon became clear that it was nothing of the sort.. The police were called and, to their discredit, never turned up but happily Arhus never lost control of a potentially very diffiult situation and the unintented interruption to the tour simply made it more memorable. There was no need for our guide's profuse apologies. Riga is a city like any other and a degree of unpredicability is just part of joy of travelling.

“Very worthwhile!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

Angeles was a very amusing tour guide who showed us parts of Riga we would have never seen on our own. The tour lasted 2 1/2 hours and met in front of St. Peter's church. I recommend taking the tour the first day to acclimate yourself to the city.

“Fabulous witty tour from a local”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

I think the comments made by 'waste of money' author are unfounded. Our tour of a few places in the old town but essentially 'Riga' was one of the best tours we have had the pleasure of being a part of. Bob presented this tour with such witty humour that it made the 2.5 hours with her both thoroughly entertaining and informative. Such a bonus to get the city perspective (both good and bad) from a local. Bob please ignore those comments posted earlier, this person obviously lives in negativity land. You did a fabulous job and we can only say that future tour groups will only disadvantaged by your departure as a tour guide. Thank you for giving up your afternoon so that we could learn about the many facets of Riga without the touristy spin.
