“Delicious lunch al fresco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

We had lunch here today and thoroughly enjoyed the parade of locals and tourists that went by. Located near the St. Peter church, the restaurant has an English menu. The staff also speaks English. I was disappointed they had no sandwiches but soon discovered a delicious pasta dish instead. My husband had a Caesar salad he was less impressed with. I was thrilled to find iced tea on the menu. Husband likes the local beers. I recommend sitting outside as indoors had no discernible A/C.

“Beautiful presentations!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

This restaurant is located in the old city, next to St Peter's church. We ate alfresco and had the opportunity to people watch. Food was east fully presented. Scallops which were sautéed in butter over a carrot purée were one to perfection. Risotto with tiger prawns was very good and perfectly al dente. A few of the dishes needed a bit more pizazz but overall it was very good. Don't miss the chocolate fondant dessert. Try on of the local Balsam cocktails for a new experience .

“Book if there are a group of you....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We had read the reviews and since there were 9 of us, I emailed in advance to book a table. The restaurant confirmed in English and when we arrived all was ready for us. The place is very central and easy to find after a day of sightseeing. Our table was ready for us and the staff were very good. The menu is not large but everything was well prepared and beautifully presented. We did have a slight issue with one main course being delayed (missed) so they offered a free desert to compensate. We noted that many people were either turned away or had to wait for a long time. Obviously very popular so we were pleased to have booked

“Excellent rissotto and steak!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Excellent, tasty food and good service. I had mozzarella-tomato-smoked fish for starter, risotto with smoked chicken for main-course and as a dessert I had cappuccino. The risotto was perfect and everything was really tasty. My husband had steak and it was really good. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm.

“restaurant for tourists in Old Town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Restaurant within the average, not bad but nothing special (n. 3 for T.A.??). Kind and polite the service, but very slow (no compliments of the chef meanwhile). The place is not bad (nothing special indeed), but the background music was too loud, and consequently people spoke aloud. I ate fish, and was average. Very good the crème brulèe. Wine list not enormous, nor on the mark with regard to the caves. However, cheap prices, and the balance with food quality is good.
