I stayed in this town almost 28 years ago. A flight stop over of 5 hours helped me visit the city. A very quaint and happy town that has changed over the years but blended he old with new very well. Old Riga retains its usual charm and the new part of the city is well developed.
Great visit. Enjoyed every bit of the tour helped by a very nice taxi driver - Jevgenij Venclausks who was kind enough not to over charge us, but took us around the city for a 2 1/2 hour tour.
The city is worth a visit for some quite enjoyable moments.
