“A room with room no view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

One of four Radisson Blu Hotels in Riga big rooms and a modern design. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
A good gym and Sauna and ice available on each floor which was nice.

Only drawback is all the rooms face inwards so the view you get is on the room opposite 

Room Tip: ointless getting a room on the upper floors as there is not a view.

Dear Hydrous,

Thank you for your positive comments in TripAdvisor!
I would like to mention that standard rooms are facing courtyard, which is nicely equipped during summer, but there is always possibility to book the Business Class room with beautiful park view.

Looking forward to welcoming you in Radisson BLU Elizabete Hotel next time!

The wood-floored rooms here are modern chic in a comfortable but unostentatious style, well lit, with smallish well-designed bathrooms. Friendly reception, good location overlooking a park and an easy, pleasant stroll both to the Old City and to the Art Nouveau district. A generous breakfast buffet in a light airy room was included rate too. A place - both hotel and Riga - we would unhesitatingly recommend and return to.

Shirts cost Lats 4to be laundered. Reception will also sell you a voucher at Lats 8 for a taxi from outside the front door to the airport; handy if you are running low on local currency.

Not the best start as slight mix up with room but this was quickly rectified. Room was not huge but very nicely designed and plenty of space. My room looked out to the courtyard atrium which was very pretty and covered in snow. The front of the hotel overlooks a lovely park so I am sure the view would be stunning if you have one of those rooms - however it does face a busy road and those rooms are opposite the lifts so could be noisy. Very new and modern hotel. Spotlessly clean. Free and fast wifi. Staff are very friendly. Bar and restaurant probably a little expensive for Riga but fairly priced for a Hotel. The food was delicious. Breakfast was usual buffet style (with eggs cooked to order). Plenty of choice (though it did have one of those toasters that are quite useless). The hotel has a small gym and sauna which was very nice. As others have mentioned the location couldn't be better. Elizabetes is a very pretty street, ideal for business but also a short walk across the parks to the old town. A lido is just 2 doors down - fantsatic for very good and cheap local food and drink (and people watching). Shopping mall and supermarket just around the corner. There is a larger Radisson on the next block and I have stayed in the one across the river. They are bigger and have more facilities but I prefer this one.

Slightly away from the main tourist area this is the perfect hotel for a visit to Riga.

Good selection of bars and restaurants around the hotel and the bar downstairs is good for a couple of drinks.
If you feel the need to join the rest of the tourists then the main nightlife area is only a 10-15 minute walk.

Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is good.

Restaurant is pretty expensive so I would recommend you walk out the door lake a left and walk into the restaurant on the corner of the block which serves enjoyable Latvian food at a great Latvian price, it's the place packed full of Latvians.

Would definitely return to Riga and this hotel helped make the experience so good.

Great Hotel, the rooms are like new and the bathroom is big. Great service and friendly staff. The restaurant is good and the bar great. The Room prices are very friendly for what you get. The room service is fast and good food, even in the night.

We came across the Raddison on line and first stayed there four years ago. I have relatives in Riga so we visit every year and stay here every time. It's situated opposite a lovely park where we often walk in the evenings and have a drink at the cafe. There are many reasonably priced eating places nearby, notably Lido which has several branches in Riga. The old town is a short walk away where you pass by the flower sellers - a sight to see. All staff at Raddison are very friendly and helpful. We stop only bed and breakfast but the choice at breakfast is so vast and being a buffet type you can have more than your fill. The rooms are of a high standard having both heating and air con, mini bar, fridge, safe, tea and coffee facilities. Rooms are cleaned meticulously. There are ice dispensers and shoe cleaning machines on every floor. Beds are comfortable. There is free Wifi and satellite tv and telephone. I cannot praise the hotel enough.

Room Tip: The hotel is built in a square shape with the middle being an open air seating area. Hence most bed...
