This is nice place about 300m (0.19 miles) from the beach. We had a family event there at end of December, so we made a reservation in advance. When we arrived, table was already served with tasty starters (potato pancakes with sour cream and herb dressing, lightly salted salmon with potato pancakes and sour cream with spring onions, garlic bread with curd cream). At that day it was quite empty, so we had a feeling that all restaurant belongs to us. Waitress was nice and friendly. Food we ordered was delicious (grilled salmon in dill sour cream sauce, grilled chicken fillet with fried vegetables, beef steak with toasted rye bread and horseradish cream sauce) and portions were very big, so don’t eat too much in advance. You have to order main course separately and potato’s as a side dish. Actually it’s enough to have one potato portion for two persons. One side effect of visiting this restaurant at end of the year was a drink menu. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to get a single glass of beer and even famous Riga balsam was out of stock too. Ok, nothing to do. We had to drink vodka. But otherwise it was nice and we had a good time there.
