“Good value for money in downtown Tallinn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2010

I stayed at this hotel for one night in August 2010. The hotel is spotless and modern. Beautiful lobby and reception area. Check-in was easy and rapid. The receptionist was professional and friendly. Our room was on the 5th floor with views toward Viru Hotel (opposite) and nearby parks. The room was beautiful! Everything was modern. LCD-TV, boutique standard bathroom with bathtub, amenities, and pretty design. Carpet floors with style. Wonderful beds. A well-stocked minibar and a large safe (good for laptop). The only downside was that the wireless internet connection didn't work (it was out of order in the entire hotel for this weekend). Breakfast was of a good standard. Nice selection but scrambled eggs and bacon looked unappetizing. Top-floor spa/relax area was excellent! A nice pool with water massage point, jacuzzi with views over Tallinn rooftops, plenty of loungers. A stylish steam bath and a Finnish sauna with a window toward Old Town - fantastic view! Gym was small and only had three machines (Matrix - all new!) that worked without any problems. This hotel was very good value for money. It is one of the best for this price category, the location is perfect (shops and downtown closeby), and the new Rootermanni area is nice to explore. I recommend this to any traveller to Tallinn!

We stayed here on the second half of our honeymoon for 3 nights. The room was huge! and for a very good price. The staff was good, and there is an indoor pool that is not just pool but like a indoor beach area. It was a great stay! Be sure to take a day trip to Helsinki via the Star Ferry. Great day trip.

I had my wedding in Tallinn and had more than 20 rooms booked in the Nordic Forum by my guests. Every single one of them loved the place. The rooms were very comfortable, and the staff at the hotel exemplary.

The front desk staff went beyond their way to help me contact all my wedding guests and I cannot fault their helpfulness in any way.

Top marks to all at the Nordic Forum hotel who made both mine, my wife's and my wedding guests' stay enjoyable.

I stayed here with my wife and 1 year old son. I emailed a few days ahead to arrange for a baby bed (crib) and received a friendly response that one had been reserved for me. Check in was effortless and the crib was promptly delivered to our room. The hotel is very clean and modern and the room was fantastic. The bed very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and clean. The location is really perfect. It's just a shot and very easy walk from the port and it's located just outside the gates of the old town. So you are very short walking distance to the old town but right outside so it's very quiet at night. I also never heard any noise from the hall or other rooms. The service was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was pretty good too. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Hotell was ok. But the beauty salong 'sinine Salong' at the first floor was not ok.

They used dirty towels. Although I said that hello this towel is dirty, the beauty spacialist lady said, come on , it is ok.

Afterwards I heard that in Tallinn it is usually that beauty salongs do not have high standards.
I could recommend hotel but not the beauty salong.

My husband and I spent the first part of our honeymoon here and absolutely loved the hotel. It was beautiful and clean, with a modern look and aesthetic. Guests could use the sauna (wet and dry) and pools for free, and the area was clean and really, really beautiful. We used the "relaxation center" pools twice during our stay and felt refreshed. The free breakfast was awesome, there was a lot of variety (from eggs & bacon to smoked salmon and meatballs!).We would eat a huge breakfast and actually skimp on lunch because we were so full.

The service was great, too. I asked the front desk if we needed to make reservations to Olde Hansa for dinner, and the clerk volunteered to make them for me (although we ended up not needing reservations at all). Also, I wanted some water for my water bottle and one of the waitresses filled it up for me. Everyone was very nice.

The location was great, too, it was about 2 minute walk to the gates of Old Town. There was also a shopping center across the street with a grocery store for water, etc, and this was very convenient. All in all, I was very happy with the location, the service, the rooms (clean & quiet with comfortable beds) and the food.

Wonderfull hotel! Nice rooms, everything very clean. Hotel has a spa center on the top floor with swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, wonderfull view to old town and sea from there. Hotel is near the old town and port. Breakfest very good, wide choise and tasty. One morning we had to leave very early and asked for breakfest to take out. Although it was late at night and we had to ask for take out breakfast till 8 pm we got it. Big packages with food were ready for us in the early morning. Absolutely everything was perfect.
