Stayed for 3 nights at Nordic Forum with a friend for a girls weekend away in beautiful Tallinn. We were there for Estonian independence day, which may explain why the hotel was so busy.
The hotel is in a good location, a 5 minute walk from the Old Town Viru gates, and 2 minutes from the city sightseeing hop on hop off bus.
Hotel is decorated very well - stylish fireplace on the left as you walk in and a nice bar and restaurant. Pool and spa area on top floor is a good feature of the hotel, although it is small. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to use these facilities as they were very busy the times we tried.
Our room was on floor 8, the top floor which was well serviced by three speedy elevators. Our room was also nicely decorated, but there were no kettle/tea/coffee making facilities in room which was disappointing. Though the most disappointing feature of the room was the see through glass panel into the bathroom. Anyone on the toilet or in the shower is highly visible to anyone else in the hotel room. I think the hotel should provide some sort of curtain or screen.
Breakfast was of good quality, but always very busy. Every morning we struggled to find a seat, and so sat on a vacant dirty table. Seats were so hard to come by other guests had to come and sit on our small 4 person table. The final morning we ate breakfast in the bar area, as the restaurant was being refurbished. Not sure why as it didn't need to be redecorated, can only hope they are reconfiguring to include more seating.
The hotel arranged pick up/drop off service to the airport which we paid slightly more than if we'd got a taxi, but was very convenient.
Nordic Forum is a good hotel and offers value for money, though the bathroom screen issue means I would not stay here again.
