“lovely hotel and great location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Just returned from Nordic Forum Hotel, Had a very pleasant stay.
The rooms and bathroom are very modern and cosy- only negative point being that we couldn't control the heating and with tempatures as low as -20c at night it would of been nice, However it wasn't cold, just not particulary warm. The breakfast was very good with a large variety of food. The location is fantastic, Less than 5 mins walk from the Viru gate(old town) and opposite one of Estonia's largest shopping centers and underneath houses the main hub for all bus routes around Tallinn. There is a great Italian food chain called Vapiano 2 mins walk from the hotel towards the Rotermann quarter. The KGB museum situated in the hotel Viru opposite the hotel is very interesting.
and finally the spa on floor 8 is great and free for all guests, Sauna,Steam room,Jacuzzi and pool.. I would highly reccommend this hotel for city breaks

“One of the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Over 15 years I'm travelling to this amazing Baltic medieval town : I nearly stayed at all hotels, many of them in the years even went under reconstruction or restyling ! Anyway it is the secon time I stayed at this "new" hotel which is very conveniently located near the historical centre, but at the same time you can easily reach shopping areas. Being new ( and modern ) the hotel provide all the facilities of a 4 stars structure : rooms are comfortable, breakfast is very rich ( a rather large choice ) even if I found the quality of food a little bit below the average of what one might expect from such a hotel. The SPA is very well organized and I found it very relaxing and functional : moreover complimentary for the hotel guests. On the overall a very nice place to stay and ... very often ... you can find very competitive rates too. Highly suggested for your next stay in Tallinn.

Room Tip: Don't ask for a room at the end of the corridor : you might come across some very tiny rooms...

“I enjoyed my stay in Nordic Hotel Forum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Stayed there in May 2011, three nights. All I must say is that is a very good hotel with helpful and open-minded staff.
+ spacious room
+ central location, walking distance to all Tallin highlights and especially Old Town
+ close to shops, bars, restaurants
+ excellent WIFI
+ comfortable bed, clean bathroom
+ rich and tasty breakfast

I would recommend to everyone who wants to visit Tallin.

“Great potential but not quite there yet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

The Nordic Hotel Forum is in an excellent location close to the Old Town. Our check-in went smoothly and our room on the 6th floor had a nice view of the Old Town.
The room has a nice modern design with wooden floors and modern appliances. One drawback was that the room was not warm enough for the time of the year. In addition one of the lights wasn't working.
We mentioned this the next morning before we went out into town and the reception said they would take care of this.
However, in the evening the light was still not fixed and when I called the reception to ask about the thermostat they said the temperature could not be turned higher than 21 degrees. I would have appreciated if this had been communicated to us straight away.
The breakfast offers a wide variety but unfortunately the cooked breakfast was not hot/warm but offered rather cold. All cold options were taste and fresh,

I went to the 'relax centre' which is a nice addition to the hotel. There is a pool, a hot tub and a sauna and a wet room.
One shower wasn't working properly in the men's shower room and a soap dispenser was broken. This should have been noticed and fixed.

The bar area was quite nice and welcoming to all and had a children's area so the adults could kick back and relax with their kids close by.

Overall, it is a contemporary hotel with high quality fittings. However, I believe the service would need to be improved and more attention paid to detail. It has the potential to be a great hotel, but currently is a rather mediocre hotel.
