“great stay for a business and pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

I have been staying in this hotel several times over 2 years during my business trips. Everything has been always in a top level. Amazing pool, sauna and jacuzzi on the roof. Really nice rooms and amazing breakfests. Definitely the best hotel in Tallinn in this price range. What is very important it is in a very center of the Tallinn.

Room: We stayed here for a weekend, one night, to enjoy the city of Tallinn. The rooms are very nice, the nicest design and layout we have seen in Tallinn. Large, modern and well decorated. The room was very clean, except the toilet had a big stain from the previous guest, this was a big minus. But not considering that issue, it was a beautiful room!

Location: Right in the centre of Tallinn, few minutes walk to the old town and to the harbour. Very good location.

Reception: Friendly, helpful and efficient.

Breakfast: This was the biggest minus. For this hotel, the breakfast was quite a let down in respect of selection and quality of food. If you can opt for a room without breakfast, it may be worthwhile having your breakfast in one of the various restaurants/cafes close to the hotel.

Paid 115 Euros for the room including breakfast, which is a good price for the room.

Hi we stayed here for a snowy weekend away at the end of November. The hotel could not be faulted, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast excellent. It is also an easy walk into the Old Town. Super view from the swimming pool area on the top floor!

I travel to Tallinn pretty often and I don't have any other idea than booking other hotels than Nordic Forum.
The reasons? Good general quality - both rooms and general environment - nice spa, although it's not the biggest ever, great breakfast and wonderful service.

The position is perfect, just a few steps away from the Old Town and right in front of Viru Keskus, the main Shopping Mall in Tallinn.
Price is decent even in peak seasons - just a little bit more expensive in July because girls wear short skirts (ah ah) - and all check-in and check-out procedures are run fast and properly.

Do not miss a great stay and enjoy Tallinn as much as you can !

Very nice designed hotel right in the center of the city and a few steps from the old town. Highly recommend this hotel, the pool and sauna upstairs are very nice and the included breakfast is a standard northern Europe buffet. Room was clean and staff was nice and responsive.

It is a great place to stay. Near the old city and viru square. The rooms are spacious and clean, lobby area is tasteful and breakfast is fine. Only one complaint really drunk local youngsters bothering guests.... Reception staff did not seem to react to that at all! Not to be expected in any high standard hotel anywhere in Europe This was the only disappointment

Firstly the hotel does have a great location, set mid way between the old and new town. Close to the port and across the road from Viru square where many bus services operate from. The hotel is a modern addition to the city and hosts a lot of conference trade which can make it very busy. As previously mentioned, it is better than the Viru hotel across the road where there did seem to be a lot of drunken activity in the reception area (along with a good proportion of the rest of the city come to that!).
Rooms were comfortable and very clean; beds were great! In fact the rooms were very well appointed. Initially had room 822 which overlooked an internal 'courtyard' so although very quiet had a view into the opposite corridor. After changing to 322 we had a room on the front of the hotel which overlooked the (noisy) road. Take your pick!!
Breakfast was busy busy busy, but offered a great selection of food and set us up well for the day. Staff were relatively attentive but like many other service staff in Tallinn, didn't enthuse welcome or helpfulness.
The 'spa' was ok although the swimming pool freezing cold and much smaller than the pictures depict.
A couple of times we went out and encountered groups of rough locals hanging about outside the front door which was off putting.
Not that we'd ever come back to Tallinn but if we did or had to recommend a hotel I think I probably would give the Nordic Forum the thumbs up.
