“Excellent Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

We stayed for one delightful night and are already looking forward to going back. Everything was just perfect: the staff was friendly and welcoming, the room decorated beautifully and the special touches that the hotel provided were a nice surprise. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, which makes it easy to discover Tallinn and its old town. This hotel was the very best and we loved every minute of our stay! Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return soon.

Stayed here in September 2012, and what a great choice. Stayed on the 5th floor in a large twin room, our room was to the back which was ideal as there was no road noise, the only gripe i have about the room was the heating, it felt as if you were constintly sitting in a draught, reception said they would look at it for us, but it did not make any diffrence. Bathroom was spacious and very clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of choice of both hot and cold food and the hot food was always hot and tasty. The staff at the Nordic were always warm and friendly. Overall, A fantastic Hotel, in a fantastic location, with fantastic rooms and fantastic staff.

We stayed here as part of a group, most of whom had rooms on the 5th floor. Our room faced the inner courtyard and as such was very quiet. The room was spacious with twin beds and good cupboard space. The decor is modern and the bathroom glass had an interesting flower design. The breakfasts had a great variety of hot and cold dishes which should satisfy most people. The reception staff was very friendly, giving directions and on Estonia's chocolates. We walked to the ferry . The easiest way to go is to go out of the hotel, turn left, take the first cobbled street which goes right pas the hotel' breakfast room. Go past the old warehouses that house the Kalev chocolates , cross over two roads and you will be able to see the ferry terminal. The walk took us ten minutes dragging wheeling our suitcases.d

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, courtyard rooms are a good choice.

Modern, stylish and comfortable place to stay. The hotel has a nice interior and feeling to it. Stayed there for two nights and liked it a lot. Breakfast is really good and the location could not be any better.

Our first impressions were that this was a well-located and impressive building, and the reception staff were helpful and efficient throughout our stay. We enjoyed the choice at breakfast - a buffet featuring a selectioon of hot and cold dishes - and the facilities at the hotel are very good.
A ten minute stroll takes one to the Old Town and other attractions.
Our overall review and satisfaction rating would have to be tempered by the fact that the traffic noise permeated the room in which we stayed - overlooking a tram line and stops - to an unacceptable level. If the windows in the guest rooms are double-glazed, it doesn't work effectively. We had stayed at the Monika Centrum in Riga for the previous three nights, on a similar floor and overlooking a busy road, with little or no traffic noise.
Staff at the hotel were very helpful, offering guidance re early buses to the port and when we did check out at 06.40 to get the bus for the Helsinki ferry the receptionist very kindly (and unexpectedly) offered us a "small breakfast" as a group had just left and this had been provided for them. We therefore enjoyed coffee, croissants, etc., before going out into the rain - the helpful young man also made fresh coffee for us as the group had emptied all the coffee pots.
Seeing the rain, he also offered to call a taxi for us - customer service at its best!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room!

Stylish and comfortable hotel right in the city center. Room was modern and clean and we loved the great and versatile breakfast buffet! Friendly and helpfull staff and the Spa was a pleasant surprise.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor (8th) are close to the spa.

Just got back from Tallin after a 4 day stay. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is situated on the edge of the old town but also within walking distance of shops and even the harbour [ at a stretch] . The rooms are modern large and comfortable - probably the most comfortable bed I have slept on in any hotel. As we were a party of all women friends on a girly break , the somewhat transparent screen in the bathroom was a bit unusual !!! The hotel has good public areas, however we felt that the hotel bar prices were a little steep, particularly when you see the same bottle of wine in the supermarket at a quarter of the price of the hotel. However the breakfast was excellent and it was great to have the opportunity to sample some of the Scandinavian fish dishes. Great stay would highly recommend the hotel.
