We were supposed to stay at Braavo for one night, the room was paid and confirmed. Braavo however had no room for us. We were sent to outskirts of Tallin to a sleezy hotel without any explanation or compensation. There were lot of other travellers there who had encountered the same problem at Braavo. AVOID BRAAVO HOTEL.

This hotel is attached to a leisure centre and reception is communal so delays are possible, but guests do have the ability to use the leisure centre free of charge between 6 am and 10 am and at other times at the discounted rate of 4euros for 2 hours, sadly I did not have time to use the facilities so I cannot comment on them. Check in was painless, the reception staff speak good english and were very helpful with maps and directions etc, and even though I was not driving, they have a huge carpark.
Wifi free throughout the hotel.
Our room 308, was a decent size, it was clean but not perfect as there was no safe in the room , and the windows only had blinds which were not thick enough to prevent the early morning sun waking me up. The bathroom has a hair dryer and shampoo/shower gel, which was a bit harsh for me, so do bring your own, the towels were old and hard but not worth complaining about for just a 3 night stay. The shower was hot and powerful.
Breakfast is served between 7am and 10 am and whilst it did not wow me, you get the usual tea, coffee, cereals, toast, Yoghurt, fruit sausage, eggs and cheese and hams, so perfectly adequate and you will not go hungry.
However the real wins with this hotel is the price, I do not think you will get a better offer for less than £40 a night and of course the real winner, the location. You are only 10-15 mins walk to the port/harbour if you fancy a day trip to Helsinki, I did it well worth it ) and only 5 mins walk to the old town, its close to nearby shops and restaurants and you really could not ask for a better location for the price. If I ever stay in Tallinn again, I would certainly stay here again.

Not bad place to stay for a couple of nights. Staff were nice, good location in the old town, short walk from harbour, supermarket nearby.

My room was a horrible brown colour, everything was brown...50 shades of poo brown.

Wifi was awful, only worked at room door, didn't reach the desk. Even at that it was very slow.

Shower was good, room had tv, wardrobe and desk. Beds rubbish - fold up guest beds. Seen better in cheap hostels.

Gym great, can use between 6-10am. Was fairly quiet both mornings I went.

Breakfast fine - cereal, eggs, meat, bread, pastries, tea, coffee, juice etc.

If visiting Tallinn again I'd probably look for somewhere else to stay

To even call this a "hotel" is a joke, to start off at check in the reception girl tried to charge us for someone else's room insisting she was right and we were wrong and no apology given when she realized her error (pointed out by another staff member) this took 15 mins to resolve ! Fold out bed in room was broken and dirty, the lock to the room was loose and faulty making access difficult so we asked to change rooms the next morning, we were told we would be given a new room but it would take 2 hours and they would call us, no call and we had to go and ask about room later that afternoon, they had forgot and had to wait 30 mins to get this sorted again no apology. Breakfast was terrible and eating area was too small with some guests unable to seat. Didn't use the spa as didn't want to spend any more time at this place than I had too. And to top it off every time my wife went to smoke outside a staff member would come and bum a cigarette ! Worse hotel experience in Europe.

Spa/Gym is good. Breakfast is poor. Beds very poor. Party on the restaurant terrace next door until 6:30 am. No curtain on half the window. They promised to fix but did not.
Free entrance to spa means free for 2 hours between 6-12 am.

The rooms rooms are very large and brightly decorated. The are kept warm at all times so there is no danger of being cold. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is the usual European fare, it's fresh and plentiful. Overall excellent value for money, I would stay here again.

For what you pay, you get a lot. (If you want more, pay more...) For under 40 euro, I got a nice large room, clean bathroom, delicious buffet breakfast with hot components (eggs etc), fish, fresh salads, fresh pastries, fruit and muesli etc. Additionally, the use of the spa in the morning is very nice, with several pools. It's true that the signs are only in Estonian in the spa and it's a bit of a warren, but it's kind of fun really and you can ask people - both staff and guests are helpful and friendly. The hotel is very handy for both the old town and the airport bus.
