We were almost robbed in Tallink hotel in Tallinn on April 2012.
We went to sauna there, locked the door, and were trying to relax in a silence, then we decided to have a little rest from the hot sauna on the couches. When my boyfriend went to change the lights, it was in a little corridor inside of the sauna, he suddenly screamed;” Who are you and what are you doing here?”
In a next second I saw a girl age 20 or under, wearing a ski clothes and caring a pack bag NIKE on her shoulders. She said she is security and checking us…!? She’s been hiding behind the column in a dark!!! We kicked her out and called to hotel security. No one gave us an explanations or excuses.
We decided to leave and talk to receptionist who made a sauna reservation for us. After the long descriptions we made, she did not offer us the apologies or any compensation for moral damages and spoiled evening.. I do not think anyone deserved being treated the way we were, and this place is in the center of Tallinn!
Fortunately, this girl did not have time to take anything out of our pockets, but it was a matter of seconds for this professional, which we both sure she is…and we both don’t believe in “security” story…
Every year the city of Tallinn makes a good money out of hospitality business, why customer service in hotels is so poor? Why people, who work there, are not trained appropriately? Why they act rude and obnoxious to visitors and why we should pay for this by our hard earned money?
