Owner description: The view from Tallinn TV Tower is unique in Estonia as well as in all of Northern Europe. Under your feet are the woods of Muuga. The captivating Tallinn Old Town and the glistening Baltic Sea in all of its majestic glory are off in the distance. When Estonia was still behind the Iron Curtain, this was for many Estonians a window on the free world - at night one could even catch sight of the lights of Helsinki. To illustrate the view, visitors can use multimedia screens: to increase the area visible in it or seeing what the place looked like in the past. It is a view that must be seen. And - experienced!

“The impressive and interesting Tallinn Television Tower”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Tallin TV Tower is really worth a visit, a must !
From the beginning, 1955 the tower was a mast next to the Tallinn old radio building.
Since then it has had many functions and was for instance rebuilt for the Olympic Sailing Regatta 1980.
In 2009 it was decided to renovate the tower, and was reopened 2012, so it´s quite a new attraction now.
The view from the 21st floor (170 m) is wonderful. There are multimedia screens to show and inform you about the view. The floor on the observation has has built-in small windows looking straight down the170 meters! Quite amazing and a little bit scary as well!
The tower offers a lot of activities, and is certainly something for all ages to experience. There is a café and restaurant, outdoor terrace etc.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

Wow - what an amazing place , so interesting and the views are stunning , very good use of technology . An amusing 3D film. There is an external viewing platform from the cafe on the next floor up fortunately it has safety bars around as it was really windy.
Worth the 20 min bus journey on the 46A from Tallinn.

“Interesting visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

I visited Tallinn TV Tower during a recent trip to Estonia and was impressed by the activities on offer there and by the views. The scenery is not that attractive, with soviet-era apartment blocks and power stations dominating in many areas, although it is possible to look across to Tallinn's Old Town and to the Baltic Sea. If you are in Tallinn and looking to fill some time then this place is worth a visit.

“Pay it a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

Whenever we visit a new place we always seek out a high spot in which to obtain panoramic views of an area and this tower didn't disappoint.
Before you enter the lifts check out the information area where there are photos from when it was being constructed, its history and it also tells you why you don't have to worry about it toppling over (very reassuring).
The first viewing area is inside and gives you 360 degree views so fantastic on a clear day. There are also viewing windows in the floor looking straight down, yikes!
Next floor up is an outside viewing area which doesn't go all the way round.
Please note that all you can see of old Tallinn is the odd spire but don't let this stop you from visiting.

“Great views, fun for the kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The historic Tallinn TV tower is now a terrific location for visitors, including children. The views are spectacular. In strategic locations, photos can be taken through holes in the safety fencing at the top. The restaurant is reasonably priced for refreshments. There are plenty of interactive things for children to do, including a news broadcast studio set up that allows one to record a message and then send it on to yourself and friends. A great way to advertise the tower! Try it out. The observation area also has interactive displays and a large amount of comfortable seating, which was an unexpected treat. The visitor number is limited to 100 on the observation level, so coming early in the day is a good idea, especially on a clear day.
