“Charming!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013 via mobile

Fed up with tourist traps, we walked past this little gem just a few steps off the beaten path. The back room looks like someone's grandmother's living room, very cosy and a bit stuffy. The menu is very small, but well chosen. The service was excellent, very friendly and informal, not the stiff professionalism one often gets but natural, they really put an effort into making us feel at home. The same goes for the food, simple but delicious. I can only recommend this lovely place to anyone who wants to have a peaceful, delicious meal away from the tourist attractions!

“Second time here, will not be the last - great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Friday evening, and we were lucky to get in, as it was fully booked, but we were there before the fuzz started. The restaurant is full of beutifull and sometimes funny details, very cozy. And the food was excellent, created from a few basic ingredients.

Don't miss the toilet! That was an experience as well.

“A great find - but please don't tell everyone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

For a place just by one of the tourist sights of Tallinn - the Niguliste Church - this place seems to be off the tourist radar. Perhaps a good thing for those who do find it. The front room has a window banquette and a few tables, the back room some lower tables and armchairs. The name says it. There is a revolving selection of well-chosen wines, by no means expensive, and a short menu. A handful of wines is offered by the glass each evening, depending on what they have opened. A Chilean sauvignon blanc or a South African gewurztraminer; a Ribera del Duero from Spain or a Sardinian red. Eat cured fish on black bread; Russian fish soup; honeyed rabbit liver; duck breast with berries and a thyme-scented filo pouch of sweet potato; black bread parfait for dessert - much nicer than it sounds. Only disappointment: The cheese plate was not Estonian. All very reasonably priced and served with great charm. Locals/regulars popped in for coffee or a glass of wine in the civilized atmosphere. Musi means kiss.
