Stayed in this Hotel for two nights in September 2008.
The Hotel style is basically 60’s – My room was large and clean, but was in need of refurbishment – every thing worked OK though.
The room had a safe and mini-bar. The TV was small and the channels were limited.
The bathroom was clean and towels were changed every day. Soap & Shampoo was provided by dispensers attached to the walls. The shower pressure was a bit low – but the hot water was supplied very rapidly.
Breakfast (which was included in my deal, 40GBP per night) was reasonable – plenty of hot food provided. The fruit selection was a bit limited. Coffee was dispensed from an urn – it was just OK (hot and wet). We did not eat any other meals at the hotel.
There is a 24-hour Casino on site if you want an opportunity to lose your money. It is not obtrusive and can be easily avoided.
The Hotel is an easy 10 – 15 minutes walk from the centre and the Old Town of Tallinn.
There are plenty of Hotels is the Old Town, but I do wonder if they would be quiet to stay in. At night the Old Town is buzzing - plenty of people wandering around making a lot of noise. In fact a group of teenagers had parked in one street with their car pounding out “drum & bass” at ear-splitting volume – this could be heard streets away! (Our hotel was very quiet.)
During the day we took the “hop on hop off” tour buses, which provide a reasonable start to the visit and gave an indication of the history and interesting sites. The Old Town is very interesting and can be walked in a day
A pleasant stay in an interesting town.
