“Tired looking and feeling”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

Having stayed in Raddison Blu's in Vilnius and Riga this one in Tallinn feels tired and worn out in comparison. Despite having a make over since its initial purpose as a hotel for the 1980 Olympic Games it still feels as if it was built in another era. Whilst the room is comfortable, the bathroom feels cramp with a high sided bath that makes standing in it for a shower feel claustrophobic as the ceiling is quite low. The gym on the top floor is adequate but not state of the art and the pool is really just a token effort. Breakfast is extensive but the restaurant is poorly designed feeling cramped even when it is fairly empty.

Good class hotel, used by tourists and businessmen alike. Large room size and good bathroom facilities. About 15 minutes walk from the hustle & bustle of the Old Town area. Breakfast not up to much, as I found in all the Balkan hotels I stayed in. Staff friendly and efficient

The best part of staying in the Radisson Blu Olumpia was the hot breakfast buffet. Omelets can be made to order with different ingredients to choose from. Various juices, cold cereals, meats and cheeses, pastries, and fresh fruits are available. Great atmosphere too!

My room was comfortable for a two-night stay by myself for business. It had two small twin beds that seemed even smaller than an average twin. The comfort of the bed was average. There was about a 40 inch TV with many worldwide channels. The view from the window was pleasant. I was able to see a small court used for parking with a children’s play area beside it, some trees and buildings. The bathroom was tiny with a tub/shower combo. It served more of a functional purpose than comfort, and appeared to be clean with the exception of the sink which had about a 5 inch hair in it that was not mine. Ran the water to flush it down the drain and problem solved.

There is a mini bar in the room, but just a two-minute walk down the road once you exit the lobby is a grocery/department store called Stockman’s. They are open from 0900 to 2100 hrs and it’s way cheaper. They even have a hot deli.

Although it wasn’t a huge distraction, I was able to hear some noises from the surrounding rooms.

Overall my stay was pleasant. Staff was very friendly in the restaurant and lobby and they speak english very well. I would stay at the Raddison Blu Olumpia again whether for business or pleasure.

Everything you would expect from this dependable hotel chain. Rooms are quite small but well appointed. Good restaurant serving international food. Wide choice of breakfast. Good wifi. Park in front of reception for 20 Euros or slightly further away for half the price. 10 min walk to the Old Town. Bathrooms have glass walls so sharing a twin room might require sharers to be well acquainted!!

A good hotel, obviously it has been renovated to come in with the Radisson brand, the room was comfortable clean and quiet. Room service there is a 5 euro tray charge and whilst there is nothing wrong with the food it doesn't stand out, the breakfast is plentiful with something for everyone and the staff helpful. With its proximity to the office i was visiting i can complain a good hotel that lives up to its brand

Room Tip: As always the higher the quieter the room

Good hotel in Tallinn. Location is nice and view from higher floors is also good. I believe this hotel has been renovated quite recently. Only thing I would say as negative one was that the room I had was hot, aircon did not work cause it was early spring and apparently it´s turned off for winter time.. It was a bit difficult to sleep cause it was so warm in the room. Ironic, I noticed in the morning that there was a possibility to open a window and cool the room that way.. somehow I missed that in the night time. :)

Room Tip: high floors have a good view to Tallin. If aircon is not working, you can open the window even in hi...

Rooms are pretty small. Given there is another nicer radisson blu close by, I think the Olympia was acquired by the radisson group. Anyways the staff was good and stay was still enjoyable. Casino attached was nice to place some sports bets. Hotel food was limited and room service was over priced.

Good Day,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on Tripadvisor.
You are absolutely right. Originally the hotel was built for the yachting regatta of the Olympic Games in 1980. In 2010 we joined Carson Rezidor Group and the hotel was renamed Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia, Tallinn.
