Modern facilities in a tall Soviet style block. On the plus side, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfasts are good and plentiful, the gym and pool - although both small - are good to have.

The main negative is the location. Although Tallinn is a small city , the hotel is situated in a fairly non-descript area a couple of kilometres from the Old Town. The walk back is not threatening but neither is it interesting. Rooms are also on the small side and the emphasis on modernity sometimes backfires and results in small irritations. For example, to lock the room safe, one needs to use a credit card which partially defeats the object.

We got a good rate (75 Euros/night for a 3 night stay) using the hotel web site and, the hotel was certainly value for money. All in all a good hotel.

Stayed there for 3 nights on a business trip. The room was OK, though there is no sound isolation at all: I could clearly hear someone puking in the next room. The bathroom was very small with a tub and a plastic screen that covered just half the shower area. The toilet smelled strange, the sewerage system is obviously old and needs a fix. Among the good things: location, great wi-fi, nice night-club downstairs, if you have to wake up early you can order an express breakfast that can be served even as early as 4 a.m., great sauna on the top floor with a fantastic view of the old town.

The best moment was when we got into the room and saw the Old Town from the window, just stunning!
The room was clean, though smallish. Nice bathroom.
Ideal position, less than 10mins from the Old town.
The pool and sauna on the top floor are ok, again, worth going for the view.
The airport is only 10mins away by taxi, paid 75EEK.
Breakfast is very rich, Continental as well as full English.

Only downside happened at the check-out. I booked the room through the hotel's website and got a confirmation email stating the rate in Euros, the check-out lady did not want to accept Euros but EEK only. I therefore needed to change money at a very bad rate and eventually ended up paying more...Shame, as up until then I would have given 5 out 5 stars.
