I am currently staying at the Reval Hotel Olympia and it has been a good experience. The staff is friendly and helpful--particularly the waitresses in the hotel's restaurnat Senso. The meals there are surprisingly good and reasonably priced.
My first room was very small and somewhat dark. I asked to upgrade to a better room and for 230 Euros I have a large, nicely furnished room with a desk, sofa and chairs and two reasonably comfortable beds. The bathroom is large and has a double sink, heated floor and towel racks. Amenities are sparse, but there is a hairdrer and bathrobe.
I doubt that I would be as happy with this hotel if I had had to stay in the first room. I was told it is sometimes hard to upgrade as the hotel is very busy.
Breakfast is included and has a nice selection of eggs, cold meats, fruit, etc. - just about anything you could wish for.
The hotel is in an excellent location. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Old Town Tallinn is cold and rainy this year so it is nice to have options near the hotel.
