I stayed two nights with a organized tour at the end of July. I can't complain about the hotel in general, but the fact that we had to wait until 2.00 p.m. before entering the room was not a positive welcome card. That sounds rather strange if you consider to be in a four stars. Rooms are large and well equipped. Breakfast has a wide choice of good food, the room is pleasant thanks to Nordic essential warm design. An English (!) pub and a night club on the ground floor are daily open. I did not try the restaurant Senso but the dishes and the atmosphere were inviting. A sauna and a gym at top floor for relaxation after a long walk in the town, which was a surprising discovery. Tallinn is a little jewel worth to be visited for at least two full days, missing your way in the dedalus of small streets and lanes. I wouldn't stay here again if I should come back. Not because, I repeat, of the hotel. The simple fact is that I don't like these anonymous big buildings without a soul. I'd find a smaller one in the old town.

Stayed 2 nights while on business trip. If it would be leisure trip I would regret booking this hotel. Location is central, but what then is not central in a small city? Room was small (regardless being twin), so bathroom. When you take shower (room w/o bath) you flood entire bathroom, as plastic tile ends above floor level. The only shelf is above toilet, so you have to mange your toiletries carefully. If your neighbours are noisy, you will hear them. I had experience listen to night visits to toilet and cough and early morning TV news. Hotel had restaurant renovation and therefore served breakfast at conference room. OK, you understand this is for the better, but around 8 am breakfast room is fully packed - you can be happy to find any seat (forget about separate table). Next time definitely will find another hotel.

We held a conference at the Olumpia in early July, 2004. The event brought 30 people from all over Europe to Tallinn, and was based at the hotel. My room was very modern, stylish, quality fixtures, with free high-speed internet and a great view of the old town. Fast elevators, _excellent_ breakfast buffet, good service, and only 7-10 minutes walk from the historic center. Althought the Olumpia certainly isn't a boutique designer hotel, I was very happy staying there for 6 nights. It's primarily a business hotel, but not cold or overrun with executives; there were lots of different people there. Recommended!
