“Best Location, more than a 4 star hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

The location of the hotel is right at the heart of the old town. We had booked a triple superior room and we were upgraded to a junior suite on the ground floor. Everyhting we would expect from our stay was there; excellent furnished and decorated, spacious room, excellent service and staff, attention to every small detail -- comparable only to a 5 star hotel. Breakfast selection - at the semi-basement of the hotel - was very good (for 4 star hotel) but not great / does not follow the "class" that the rest of the services have "spoiled" you with.

A most delightful hotel in the Old Town, with most of the main sights within a few minutes' walk. All staff, from front-of-house to room service, were most welcoming and attentive, with great attention to detail. Rate included a buffet breakfast with an extensive choice, plus hot dishes cooked to order. The hotel houses two excellent restaurants: a popular rustic Estonian, 'The Golden Pig', and the top-class Russian 'Nevskij' with a superb menu and atmospheric decor.

In 42 years of travel, the St. Petersbourg Hotel rates in the top 5 best of all that we have ever enjoyed. This establishment re-defines "classy" with extraordinary staff that goes the extra mile to meet every need of its patrons.

Perfect location for experiencing an incredibly breath-taking city that provides photographic moments around every turn. Great breakfast, as well as, a unique, quaint setting for dinner in its country-side, inspired restaurant. I encourage all to move this city and this wonderful inn to the top of your "bucket list".

This hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the Old Town of Tallinn. It has a lovely old fashioned, intimate charm. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite on the top floor (room 301) which comprised of a spacious, well furnished, tastefully decorated room with high ceiling. When we arrived the staff were extremely helpful in recommending what to see and do. We filled up on a huge breakfast/brunch before we set off in the morning and needed very little more before venturing out on the town for dinner.

We were fortunate to be given a complimentary upgrade to a suite -it was superb - a traditional estonian style room but full of modern touches -dvd and cd player, underfloor heating in the bathroom etc -the friendliest of staff (full of good suggestions for places to visit) and a great selection for breakfast .-and little touches eg printed newsheets at breakfast for all the countries represented by the guests ,weather forecasts for the next day popped into the room in the evening. The location was superb ,right in the centre of the old town, and within easy walking distance of several wonderful restaurants . A real find !

We stayed at St Petersburg Hotel in Tallinn for 2 night. The location, breakfast and overall service
Was exellent. But the room - all though very clean - was extremely small. I think we ended up having a single room, because the bed was so narrow that we had hard time sleeping. We had reserved a superior room, but there was nothing superior about this. Actually the bathroom seemed bigger
than the bedroom. There was a welcome letter in the room for a gentleman, and when we asked about this from the reception, they seemed to be a bit confused, but did not do anything. It seemed that the room was originally reserved for a single person as it was a single room.

Room Tip: Check tuhat you really het what you reserved!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your note and compliments in regards to service overall and remarks of having very clean hotel rooms. Although I was saddened to hear you found our rooms very small, I have to mention that due to the fact that building hotel is located in goes back to 1850’s, some of our rooms are quite unique with the shape of the size they are having . Having said that, all our rooms are designed for double use, however some of our superior category rooms are a bit smaller then others.

And I do have to apologize in name of entire team for welcome card you found in your room with other guests name on it. Please except our extreme apologies and rest assured that strong measures have been taken into account to completely avoid such embarrassing situations in future.

We do hope that you will give us another chance to better serve you in future.

With Kind Regards,

We really liked this hotel. Excellent location in the old town near the town square. Great sized, comfortable room and good value for the price. Elegantly furnished and well stocked minibar and bathroom. Staff were excellent during our stay, at reception and elsewhere in the hotel. Good choice at breakfast, with a cold buffet and choice of hot food brought to table. Overall, a very welcoming yet professional establishment. Would highly recommend.
