Description: Clayhills is the first gastropub in Tallinn, Estonia. Our menu takes inspiration in British, European and local Estonian tradition and we carry a wide selection of local and international beers and wines. The word gastropub comes from the combination of two words "gastronomy" and "pub" and was created in Britain in 1991. Gastropubs are a recent trend that serves high quality food in a relaxed environment. Live music is a strong part of our identity and every weekend after dinner at 10pm we have live music for your enjoyment. We look forward to seeing you!

“Nice concept- slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

I want to give this place a higher rating because they have a nice atmosphere and decor, yummy pub food, a great selection of beers, many locally produced, but the service...ufff. Granted the place has a lot of seats, and seemed really busy, but the staff just seemed disorganized in addition to being ill-equipped and poorly trained to handle the rush. We waited so long for each drink, our meal, and when a mistake we kicked our seld for correcting it as it meant more waiting. What really bothered me as someone who has worked in restaurants was seeing a manager-type just standing around doing seemly nothing but barking at the stressed wait staff rather than pitching in and solving the problem. Our lunch there took most of the afternoon, which would have been fine if we had drinks in our hands and food in our bellies, but instead it was just an annoying experience.

“Do not underestimate this pub!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

This pub in The Old Town of Talllin looks like anybody else. Fast food like - nothing special.

BUT - you could not be more wrong. The food here is delicious! Try the breaded shrimps with chili/mango sauce. Wonderful - simply wonderful. Or their smoked roated duck salad ...

We simply fell in love with the place ...

“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We went to this restaurant during our stop over in Tallinn while we were on a cruise in the Baltic heading for ST Petersberg. We dicided to look for a place to rest our weary legs and have a snack (not as if we needed one) and looked at the few that are around this small area. This eating place looked to be offering the best food and it was full which is a good sign when the others were nearly empty. We decided on the Tapas with wine and enjoyed it very much. We did not expect so much food but ate it all! Good service with a smile and although some people may think it is a slow service .. that's what its all about in a beautiful place like this and when you are on holiday. Who wants to ruch things? Definitely recommend this place.

“Perfect place for lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

This is an excellent place for lunch in Tallinn. We used it twice last week and was more than satisfied both times. The menu includes enough for everyone and we tried 5 different dishes and we were happy with all of them. Good beermenu as well.
The only negative thing to say is that the service is to slow. The waiter took our order very quick, but we had to wait 10 minutes before we got our beer and at least 30 minutes for the food. Not perfect for lunch.

“Slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Nice interior and food, but extremely slow service even if the place was not packed, plenty of waiters, so I believe there was not enough personel in the kitchen.
