just back from a 4 night stay at hotel rinno,and would recommend the hotel to any one. this must be one of the friendliest hotel in Vilnius. our room was excellent , the corner bath was hugh and filled quickly with lots of hot water.the beds where large and very very comfortable the breakfast was very good with a choice of freshly cooked dishes.the whole hotel was spotless andthe rooms cleaned to a high standard every day. this small hotel deffinately works to a 5 STAR standard.we would certainly stay again and wish management and staff allthe best in the future.

Room Tip: pay a small exrta and have a luxury room

just back after spending 4 nights with friends at the rinno hotel. this hotel lived up to all the good reviews listed on tripadvisor. All the staff we came into contact with were helpfull and friendly and sorted out all requests and problems put to them. The breakfast was excellent and the freshly cooked options were top rate.The hotel is 15mins max from the old town centre, the hotel is situated on a quiet street just off a main road .We felt quiet safe at all times (it was usually well after midnight when returned to the hotel) on the streets to and from the old town.Taxi`s ,everyone seems to have a problem with taxi`s overcharging ,we paid 35lt from the airport and 50 lt back to the airport a difference of 15lt or 4euro, now 4euro is not going to make or break a holiday and in a country were the average monthly wage is 350 euro that 4 euro will do more good in his pocket then in yours.If you pick a taxi from a rank ask the price if it sounds reasonable pay it, it may be expensive to a local but to a visitor most trips will be cheap comparerd what you would pay at home . The most we paid(excluding the airport) was 35lt.. out to the tv in ataxi picked up from a rank and 35 lt. back in a taxi called by the barman at the tv tower.So do not waste time worring about taxi prices for the sake of a few euros or pounds.


Room Tip: we stayed in room 14 on the third floor which was spacious and quiet.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. Overall I was happy with the stay and at the right price I would consider staying here again.

On arrival we were met by the reception staff. Nice enough lady, no real hospitality but efficient enough and we were quickly to shown to room 20 on the ground floor.

I took one look at this room and walked straight back out to reception. I'd paid for a Superior room, this didn't look superior, and although I was assured it was I was quickly relocated to room 4 on the 1st floor. This was better in it's lay out so I accepted this one though I'm not quite sure it was superior either having seen pic's on here of the respective rooms.

The lady in the breakfast area, as mentioned many times on the reviews of this place, was very polite. She provided an excellent spread and having stayed at many hotels throughout Eastern Europe, for value alone, it was excellent.

The location was good, near the train station and just 10 walk from the main areas. It was quite easy to get around.

Finally, the taxi situation! Obviously there is a lot that's been said about this on the Vilnius forum, and all useful info. When we arrived at the airport we asked the lady at the tourist information to call us one. She said it would be approximately 35lt and it was exactly that.

Although this is considered to be more than it should be we could live with that....what we couldn't live with was the hotel trying to charge us 60lt one day and then 50lt following an enquiry again the next day. The impact of this was pretty disruptive in that we spend to spend a portion o the penultimate day trying to sort out a reasonable cab charge. We even asked waiters in restaurants that we ate to try and assist and fortunately they gave us some taxi numbers.

On our departure day I asked the hotel to ring us a cab. They didn't have the foresight to actually ask the cab company what it was going to cost so again we didn't know what to expect.

Our carriage arrived and I went to ask the driver what it was going to cost, 20lt roughly was the answer. Already that was a significant reduction in what the 60lt the hotel wanted to charge. Anyway 15 mins later, after our journey to the airport, 16lt...done. Absolute bargain and the guy was a gent.

Shame on the Rinno on 2 counts 1. Quoting us 2 different figures, the higher being 60lt and 2. Due to their extortionate taxi charges it impacted on our penultimate day as we need to sort transport out and really a charge of 35lt by the hotel would have been an acceptable, top end price, but to charge upto 3 times the going rate is completely unreasonable.

Having said that I would stay again and I'd recommend. Nice hotel, good value, well located and and excellent breakfast served by the jewel of the hotel!

We stayed at hotel Rinno for a weekend. It really was a great hotel for the price asked. The rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. The doors had locks with actual keys, not that stupid cardlock thing. Staff weren't all super friendly, but even the ones that seemed grumpy were very helpfull, ordering taxies, helping with missing boardingcards for the home flight, and recomending places to go and things to do.
The hotel was quiet but still central, it took us fifteen minutes to walk to the heart of Old Town.

Breakfast was from 7 to 11, wich is great, when you're out for a weekend of fun, it's crap when breakfast closes at 9. There was a cold buffet with bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt and friut, not all that special, but not bad either. In addition to that you can order a hot plate, omelets, pancakes, eggs, free of charge, and that was really great tasting stuff, fresh from the kitchen!

If I ever go back to Vilnius, I will stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights in january and chose to pay a little more for the deluxe room and so glad we did. The room was a good size with sat tv and good wireless internet. The highlight was the bathtub- a huge corner bath with bath salts and bubble bath provided! Lovely and warm and cosy when the temperatures really started to drop outside.

I dont understand some of the previous complaints about distance to old town or the bus/ train station. It took us less than 10 mins to walk from the train station in icy and snowy conditions with a heavy bag. And to get to the main sites of old town takes 15 minutes absolute maximum. I also dont no where the poorly lit dodgy streets are ??? I didnt feel at all threatened anywhere in vilnius and u can get to old town using only main roads if you wish.

The breakfast was really yummy and very entertaining with the very efficient waitress. The made to order apple pancakes were delicious!

Rooms are crowded, smelly, and outdated. The staff is not very helpful or pleasant with the exception of the lady running the breakfast.

The location is close to the old town, but the walking route takes you through unlit and questionable areas.

The most unpleasant part of our stay was the location of our room,# 22 over a bar/ disco that ran until 2 am. We were not warned of this and the offer to change rooms at midnight, was too late.

Overall, I would not choose Hotel Rino, if I were to return to Vilnius.

A really crappy stay in a tiny room with a disco/banquet going on below us until 02h00 on our second night. They didn't warn us about the party room, but offered to change our room at midnight. That wasn't very practical at all. Sure, it's cheap, but so is a hostel. The carpets are dirty, the front desk personnel are unhelpful and surly, and it's on a dirty, run-down street. Breakfast is average at best. We would NOT stay here again, nor recommend it to anyone. Avoid.

We are very sorry that Your stay in Rinno was not enjoyable furthermore with very negative impressions.
The restaurant Vingriai doesn't belong to the hotel. According to the agreement between the hotel and the restaurant music in the restaurant can't be noisy from 8 p.m. Now the police have been investigating this event.
Admittedly, it was a bad idea to have bright carpets in some rooms. The carpets are not dirty, just some stains are seen. In January- February the carpets in these rooms will be changed.
