“For Lithuanians and Polish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2011

This cemetery is very interesting and important for Lithuanian and Polish culture. For the other nations it could be just a charming old cemetery. There are burried such famous people as J.Basanavicius (signatar of Lithuanian independence), lawyer M.Romer, writer B.Sruoga, V.Mykolaitis Putinas, K.Boruta, lots of Vilnius university professors such as Lelevel. Olso there is burried the heart of the president of Poland J.Pilsudski.
Also there are burried soldiers which were fighing for Lithuanian and Polish freedom (between each other).
