Stayed here for a week in July 2007. Had a fantastic time. Yes, it is about a 20 minute walk to the old town, but it's a pretty walk along the river or you could walk down the main shopping avenue, Gedimino Prospektos. It's a nice stroll & you pass the KGB Museum, where you can spend an interesting afternoon.

All in all, this is a great hotel. Rooms, food, staff were all very good. The cocktails in the Sky Bar are fantastic - a very wide selection. Apparently, minor celebs are often seen there, but we didn't see any. There is a small restaurant in the Sky Bar where we had wonderful lunch there during our stay. The views from the Sky Bar are also excellent.

We went back to the Reval in May 2008 to visit the SkyBar. There is a restaurant downstairs & the food there is superb.

Bit of a curates egg. The rooms and bathroom are OK; the breakfasts are very good; the gym and sauna are an added bonus. The location is not great and is about 2km from the old town.

For a 3 star hotel, it is good but with a little more attention to detail, it could be very good indeed. For example, the TV sets are small and cheap looking; the bathroom contain only shower gel/ shampoo and not conditioner (my wife tells me this is important); only 2 lifts appear to work at any one time. The reception desk needs better management. At quiet times, there are up to 5 staff milling about whilst when a large tour group arrived in the middle of the day, only one member of staff was left to deal with things.

All in all good value for money and a decent hotel. (We paid approx. 75 Euros/night through the hotel web site). It is just annoying that with a little care and planning, it could be a very good hotel.

I visited this hotel for business in March. Large room with classic Nordic furniture and the bathroom was in light colours. Everything in the room was cleaned and in order. The breakfast buffet was served in the restaurant and offered a lot of options. The hotel has a sky bar and a separate smoking room. The staffs were friendly, but the negative side was that they were very slowly during checkout. Another negative side was the view from my hotel room – there was a strip club nearby.
