Nice, entrance, clean rooms, friendly staff, very good breakfast. Good value!
It's Soviet grand-scale architecture, in another words not very beautiful, large, intimidating, etc., and the view includes a liethuanian strip club made of concrete, looking like a nuclear war bunker ... but that's about the bad sides ...
Large enough rooms, Finns feel home because of a Finnish hotel owner and Finnish TV channels (and also chinese, btw.. so well-equipped TV channel repertoire). And of course, there's a decent sauna.
Also a fitness room which is decently equipped, nice lobby with a bar that seems to be worth slobbing in, and a Sky Bar at 22nd floor that is a nice place to sip a Svyturys and glance the roofs of Vilnius.
And the buffet breakfast is very satisfying. It is a mass-accommodation style and not very pretty on the outside but that's about the only bad sides. Recommended.
Stayed one night in this hotel. The lunchbuffet is really good. Breakfast ok, though nothing that special. The Skybar on the 22nd floor is really great, wonderful views. The room itself is ok, clean, not too large. Good but nothing to get excited about. Paid 85 Euros with Breakfast. Location is good, just across the river is the old town.
This is a perfect hotel for your stay in Vilnius. I have to admit that when the taxi stopped in front of it it looked a little bit dull from the outside: it is indeed a tall concrete block that looks kind of anonymous from the outside. But our stay has been a pleasure. Reception is willing to help, the foyer is clean and spacious and with a nice bar area that serves excellent tea.
Our room was on the fourth floor, not big but not small, but it was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was spacious and I guess completely new. What is great is that wireless internet is available for free all around the hotel.
Be sure to go to the last floor at night for a drink at the Skybar. The view at dusk and at night over the old city is just amazing and cocktails really great. It is located right on the other side of the river from old town. A bridge takes you right from the hotel entrance to the other side
Even though it is not located in the heart of old town you can easily reach it with a 15 minutes walk and in 10 minutes you'll be on major shopping avenue Gedimino Prospekt.
Beware that if you wish to change money at the hotel this will not be possible before 11.30 am (that's what they told me) since they do not receive cash from the banks before that time.
In the end....absolutely recommended
I have stayed several times at the Reval Lietuva in Vilnius and have so far always enjoyed staying at this hotel.
From the outside the hotel is a fairly unattractive high-rise concrete block however after extensive re-furbishment the interior is really quite special from the polished granite flooring and the grand piano in the foyer.
The hotel also had a "very important" British guest staying when I visited so if it's good enough for her...
The rooms are a good size and extremely comfortable. TV channels are a bit limited however you can get "euro-news" in English which is a bonus.
The buffet breakfast is excellent although the restaurant does get a little busy at peak times.
The old town is a good 20 minute walk away but there is decent parking here which helps if you have a hire car which I usually do.
The best feature of this hotel (as is the case with the sister hotel in Riga) is the "Skybar" at the top of the building which offers a drink with a view of the city which is second to none. I recommend trying the "pear cider" if you make it up there.
Overall a highly recommended hotel which shouldn't disappoint you.
