“Nice hotel, seviceminded staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Spent 3 nights in this nice hotel together with 9 other persons from Norway in April 2015. The hotel is just outside the center of Vilnius - about 15-20 minutes walk from the old town, and that is acceplable. There were lots of taxies for those who did not want to walk...
We had double rooms and they were clean, and the breakfast bouffe was great. There is a nice little bar there and a restaurant that was open in the evening (never tried that).
The staff in this hotel were very helpful when they we asked about Vilnius - they checked to be certain that the information they gave was correct.
There are restaurants, supermarkeds and stores near by. I can recommend this hotel to anyone - it's not expencive and is suitable for all - old and young.

Room Tip: Rooms that not face the street are more quiet.

I chose the hotel for a business trip on the recommendation of the organizers of the workshop. It was an excellent choice, the hotel is in good location, the room was very clean, the bed also comfortable, with spotless clean and white bedding. And the breakfast.... excellent! i recommend the pancakes and the jams.... hmmm... forest fruits! and the fish.... Fresh all the time! The staff was also helpful. I would return for sure!

Room Tip: I would recommend to chose a double room even if you are alone.

This hotel has everything ....almost. Rooms are clean comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is good. Sculptures and design is a pleasant feature. Cleaning staff are curtious nod and say hi with a smile. As do the nice girls in the bar. However reception staff do not even acknowledge you when you pass by. Breakfast staff is the same. A simple hello, nod,or a smile...why is that so hard??

This hotel was really good value. It is about a 20 minute walk to get to the town and I presume that that is why its a little cheaper than many of the more Central hotel options but if you don't mind the walk then this hotel is a great little place.
Breakfast was included and offered everything you would expect: fruit, cereals, breads and salad bits and of course a cooked breakfast buffet option. It is worth noting that although the cooked breakfast was lovely you need to get in fairly to ensure its piping hot. They seem to leave it out without it being heated so it quickly becomes a luke warm breakfast. This was obviously a tad disappointing. Someone should possibly point out that that little space under the buffet kit if for a candle option to keep the food hot but they seem oblivious.
The room was lovely. A huge queens sized bed and a very spacious bathroom. I've seen some very negative reviews of the rooms so possibly its a pot luck kinda deal when it comes to rooms.
The final point of note is the swimming pool that is detailed on their website and on a few booking sites like trivago and booking.com It's not a swimming pool. It's one of those ice cold pools that you're meant to jump in and then run in to the sauna afterwards. Are they called dunk pools? Or torture chambers? Anyway if you're excuted by the pool option then possibly this is not the hotel for you.
Overall it's a lovely place with lovely staff but needs a bit of work with it's breakfast heating. A great option if you're travelling
on the cheap

This hotel is situated about a 20 minute walk from the centre of the old town of Vilnius and not in a particularly good area. The young lady on reception is very helpful and speaks good English the rooms are dated and need modernising. Breakfast is reasonably good. The bar is very small and closes fairly early. Internet is available near reception but their is only one computer, having said that you pay for what you get and the Grata is reasonable value.

I have staying in the Hotel in September. Five nights.... Hairs on the bed, hairs in the bathroom. Smelly sheets and very old TV that do NOT WORK. I gave 5 stamped letters to the Reception and still waiting them three months ago. Bad Experience and I do advice travelers to stay in another hotel.

The staff at the Grata has staff that are very professional and friendly. Even more important is that they speak english and are willing to help assist in making your trip and stay enjoyable. The staff was also extremely helpful in explaining the costs structure and what to expect to pay for taxi fares or bus routes. From the airport to the Grata (approximately 5.4kms) cost me $41 Litas. So when you arrive DO NOT jump into the taxis in front of the airport!!!! THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!!!! The taxi from Grata to the airport (which I had ordered through reception the day before) on cost $16 Litas!!! I happily gave the driver $20 Litas. Sucha difference.... I stayed in the loft room which was a charming single bed with slanted ceiling room. It was small and cozy and provided the bare necessities of what I needed (4 walls and a roof). There were no bugs or weird smells. All in all I cannot complain about the hotel itself. The layout is a bit of a quandary. But I managed fine. The weird thing I really liked about the hotel was the elevator. It was tiny and kinda slow, but there were only 4 floors and I was on the top floor :D What I loved about the elevator is that as soon as you press the button to close the doors, the doors actually close!!! There isn't a slight pause or anything. Call me weird but that counts for something in my book lol. I wish I remembered the names of the staff, as they made my first visit to Lithuania a very pleasant one.
