“A real gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

On the strength of the previous excellent reviews on TA, we escaped the conference (big chain) hotel to book the Oscar Wilde room in this fine old palazzo. A decision we did not regret, and would recommend to others! The room was very spacious with a charming view over the rooftops. It was also well appointed, and really felt like home from home, especially as the bathroom had a proper tub, not just a shower. The complimentary a la carte breakfast was a welcome surprise, and our evening meal in the restaurant was also good. Service was particularly impressive: I had forgotten my laptop charger, and the front desk staff not only helped me to locate this fairly elusive item but also offered to lend me a laptop until I had done so. As others have commented, the location is perfect for seeing the main sights, and was also ideal for going to the National Ballet and Opera House (which offers first class performances at a fraction of the price you would pay in Paris or London).

Room Tip: Part of this hotel's charm is that all the rooms are different, so it is worth specifying your...

I stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful old house in the historic center of Vilnius. It was already highly rated by other guests, but I feel they merit full 5 "balls".
The hotel is small with only a dozen rooms, a restaurant and a really nice lounge with old leather sofa and an impressive selection of whiskies. The rooms are not very big (but they have huge bathrooms with floor heating), but nicely furnished and WiFi is working perfectly all over the place.
The breakfast is a la carte (included in my room rate) and you should try the Lithuanian style eggs.
Very friendly, efficient and professional staff.
If you business in the city center this is absolutely the best place to stay.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms (e.g. "Walter Scott") are on the ground floor to the - quiet - street, b...

Easy and efficient check in, very clean and well-attended large room with really old furniture around, excellent breakfast... The little terrace was a very pleasant with plentiful sun. With the recommendation of front desk, I took a city tour with highlights of Vilnius which arrived very timely and ended as scheduled. I was also recommended to dine at a near by restaurant that was excellent. So, when a hotel is nice and managed by customer caring staff, the image of the city in memories are always great...

The ground floor, first floor and roof rooms can be each one very different in style and in size. We(2 people) stayed in 3 rooms(each floor), first time changing room as I ask, second time because our second room has be booked for the weekend;I think the staff will try their best to help you to find your right room, but you better know what you want.

I'd like to thank the nice staff who understood my need and fond me a roof room during my stay, which make this stay very cozy and unforgettable.

Room Tip: Ground floor you can have big room, but may have street view(people passe in front of the window dur...
