“Not for the faint at heart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

I expected visiting this museum to be difficult, but was not prepared for the emotional impact. The display is well organized and easy to follow; everything is translated into English. I have seen many documentary shows on TV, but have never been quite so touched as I was being in the very spots were such atrocities have happened. I gained a whole different perspective of what people in the Baltics and other places experienced under KGB.

“Lithuania's history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Lithuania's history is complex and better understood by visiting as many public places as possible. This museum left one thinking why human beings can be so cruel to each other.

“Compelling”

I can only add to other reviewers comments. Humbling and compelling. Give it 2 hours to do it justice. So glad that we visited this place.

“Unmissable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

A vividly presented account of a chilling history, so dark that when you step outside you wonder if you really have gone back into a world in which these things happened.
