“Good hotel, not the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

I stayed there only for 1 night, 2015.07.18-19, We got a classic room, which didn't have a balcony, facing highway/ hotel lawn. It was -smoking room, but there was no bad smell which is good, saw 2 spiders in the corners of room:) We were using Spa centre, it was pretty great, there are gym, table tennis, we had a dinner in a restaurant food was good - nothing bad to say:) in the morning we came to eat breakfast about at 10 o'clock ( on the weekends breakfast is until 11) Not so much food left i would say, but it was enough:) All in all it was great. We went to swim with a boat on the lake it costs 4 euros, and you can swim there how long you like:)

The location is convenient and the sights are good. The resort itself has seen better days with a lot of places needing some touching up.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Even tough I had booked a room that stated it has a balcony, I got a small window facing the highway. Since this was just for sleeping I didn't really care.

If you want to play golf, this place will probably be to your liking.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the lake and on upper floors

A different sort of hotel - very large and spacious and could serve many, but there were not many there the night we stayed. The rooms are a bit dated, but very large and nice balcony overlooking a lake (mosquitoes too), but the water ran hot/cold at will in the shower. Signs were lacking and to get to the Bora Bora restaurant on the lake it was quite a hike and to get back into the hotel it was like Fort Knox and staff were not interested in opening locked doors. The morning breakfast was large and lots of choices. It seemed to me that it would not take much to make this a very active hotel without too much effort. We had a car and found it difficult to get to it from the highway and no signage as to how to do it. That said the parking lot was large, there was golf for golfers, bars and restaurants for those wishing to use it as a one-stop shop. Bora Bora restaurant was just OK - nothing really special.

My daughter and I have just come back of holiday we stayed for 4 nights the hotel and staff were lovely the only downside was the was not enough information in English we could not find any writen information on English tours and destinations.we stayed bed and breakfast the was not much English food but if you could have bake beans and hash browns would have been lovely as not fond lover of cheese and cold meats for breakfast. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The shuttle bus from the hotel should run more frequently as specially at peak times or a bigger bus as we had to get off the bus and wait another hour before we could get another bus or pay 30€ for a taxi so was not please with that .but we would definitely recommend this hotel.

5 of us stayed here on what was effectively a lads weekend although we aren't the most raucous. The location is lovely, 20 minutes from the old town but in a tranquil and peaceful haven. The rooms were fine, yes dated but perfectly adequate.

The pool and gym areas were large, jaccuzi hot, games room etc. And we played 18 holes on the golf course. $100 for 2 people with 1 set of clubs and a buggy is fairly standard. Lovely course also.

What really lets this place down are the waiting staff. I ordered nachos and got a bowl of warm dorritos with jalapeños. I asked for some cheese and was told they 'don't serve cheese'. A friend asked for an orange juice only to be told they don't serve that either, and 2 minutes later some was brought to the next table. My friend also picked up a large bottle of water to buy, but was told to put it back as it wasn't on sale.

Also whenever we ordered food or drink (the very few items they were prepared to serve us) they would sigh disappointedly.

In conclusion. Wonderful setting, good condition, well priced, but the waiting staff needs serious improvement.

Wifi also dreadful.

A huge hotel complex in the middle of nowhere that reminds you of the old communist era. The rooms are pretty big but in need of renovation. As a conferens venue this might be a good choice but not for exploring Vilnius.

Dear Henrik W,
Thanks for sharing your experience with us! Sadly, you were not satisfied with your choice of room, for your next stay we suggest to look for an executive room with a splendid lake view. This will be a sight!!
Our 160 ha resort comprising a 18 hole golf course is merely 20 minutes away from downtown Vilnius, and our shuttle bus has a fair schedule to satisfy any guests needs.
All the best and see you soon! Warmest regards

We only spent one night at the Resort before flying out the next day. The check in seemed over long considering we were only staying one night.although the man handling our luggage was very helpful and friendly We were given a basic room, twin beds, overlooking the lake both the room and view were very pretty. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom large with shower over bath, toilet and bidet.

We didn't have an evening meal and left without breakfast although we did have a light snack and drink on arrival in rather pleasant surroundings.
However there were two minuses, one the cost of the wifi -the free wifi just didn't work. The other this is the first accommodation where tea and coffee making items are not included in the bedroom. This is annoying as after a long drive a quick coffee would go down well.

The other minus would be the distance from the city especially the Old Town. The courtesy bus has a limited schedule and as the resort caters for bus tours there is every possibility of not being able to catch the bus. The Taxi fare rates at about e14-e18 and more if you don't speak the language.

The Vilnius Grand Resort would be ok for a short relaxing stay but that is about all.

Room Tip: lake view if staying long
