Description: “ČAICHANA” [CHAIKHANA] is the first authentic Uzbek restaurant in Vilnius. A team of Uzbek cuisine masters headed by chef prepares meals that made the Central Asia famous all over the world, such as: the Fergana, Samarkand, Tashkent, Chaikhana and Wedding pilaf, steamed Manti with homemade yogurt, shish Uzbek kebabs with homemade pasta Lagman in a full-flavoured red meat sauce. Looking around the carpets, we find ourselves in an oriental zone where you can take your shoes off and lie down on pillows. You can have your meal here as well, surrounded by ruby-red carpets. However, it seems that you will not have a nap – your pilaf is on the way to you in an Uzbek porcelain dish, painted by hand and made upon a special order. A quiet, oriental music, selected by DJ is playing without irritating the ear of a European.

“Best pilaf in Vilnius!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Perfect:
- out of competition and the most amazing pilaf in Vilnius
Ok:
- parking;
- atmosphere;
- price level.
Negative: Pretty boring place. Some dishes and a tea are heavily overpriced.

Resume: must visit place in Vilnius for pilaf and if You wanna have a quite sunday brunch with oriental food. I like this place.

“No interest for service or food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

We had a reservation for 8pm, but clearly this was too late (or at least that was told to us). They had basically nothing left in the kitchen, no bread, no meat courses and they had no interest even to offer any options that they had. We finally managed to get some chicken which would have been okay but apparently they had only one plate for 4 adults. My advice is try lunch time only or avoid it.

“Quite tasty, although predictable, but ambience leaves a lot to be desired.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

The food was good - authentic, fresh. However, the service and ambience was quite average - the waiter forgot our soup, there is paper tablecloth, no curtains on the windows.

Would come back, but definitely not first choice.

“Pilaf containing cartilages”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

It was the most terrible pilaf I've ever tasted. If you like meat with cartilages that place is specialty for you. Lamb meat was horribly unsavory, I think it was not only lambs meat, also I think fat in pilaf was sunflower oil. Today it was my last visit to this awful place ever ever ever.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

I love this restaurant so much I go there every couple of weeks. The food is fantastic (especially the lamb pilaf), the service is wonderful and the wine decently priced. It is a little more expensive than other restaurants in Vilnius, but it totally worth it.
