Spent 2 nights here and I have to say that this was the worst experience in terms of service I have ever experienced.
To begin with this hotel is advertised as being very close to the airport on various booking websites, which it is. But the town of Palanga is so small that any other hotel in the town is also close to the airport, within 6 kms. So its kind of misleading when you reach the hotel in the middle of nowhere to find later that only 3-4 kms away is the town where you could have had a better selection of hotels with restaurants and shops at a walking distance.
The taxis from the airport will charge around 30 Lats or 10 euros. We reached around 11 pm and at the airport there was neither a cash machine nor a restaurant. We took a taxi who agreed to charge us 10 euros for the 2 kms distance to the hotel. The guy almost got lost as the hotel is in the thick woods and the lanes are not lit at all. Finally we reached the hotel in 5-7 minutes and the check-in was fast as the only staff was one receptionist.
The worst experience was on the second day when after my day´s work I returned only to find that my room was not done. But wait, something was done in the room and I realized that the person who came to tidy up my room only picked the towels and hung them back in the bathroom, and that was all this person did. This person didnt bother to replace the used soap, didnt bother to replace the used towels with the new ones, didnt bother to clean the cups that I had left on the kitchen sink and guess what, didnt even bother to tidy the bed. I found the bed in the same condition in which I had left it in the morning. Another strange thing was that there was no telephone in the room to even call the reception. Although the room was clean and very functional but far from anything that could be called cozy and comfortable, there was a total lack of interest from the owners to make it look like a functional hotel.
Although the lady at the reception was very helpful and arranged a taxi to drop us to the airport the next morning in the early hours, the experience was not a very pleasant one.
