A beautiful hotel in the heart of the new town. Quite a walk to the old town, but bus stops right outside the hotel (coming back from the old town) , but a 5 minute walk to the bus stop that takes you into the old town. We were there during the 2 bank holidays - so whole of Kaunas was very quiet. Went by bus to the capital city - but got stuck for ages in heavy traffic - we came back on the train which was much faster. Food and drinks were very cheap compared to western costs and we came back with lots of spending money. Dont change your money in England, you get a much better rate of exchange from the banks in Kaunas. As for the hotel - it was spotlessly clean. The staff were all very polite and helpful and the rooms (executive room) are beautiful - lots of creature comforts and space. Buffet breakfast was very good - lots of choice and nice surroundings. All in all an exceptional hotel !

Very nice hotel. Very good location, rooms have a nice flat screen TV, safe. It seems they just remodeled the whole hotel in May of '08. Bar downstairs is very nice, but its open till 1 am. They were still remodeling the gym, so I can't say how it is. The only problem I found was the channel selection, only 3 english channels (all news), and like 8 or 9 german channels. Tip: if you are there during the week or Sunday, all clubs and bars are closed very early, the only alternative we found was BO (Blue Orange) in Old city. Its artsy, but the beer is cheap, and its opened late.

We chose this hotel for the stay in Kaunas because of the special price offer. What can I say? I was lucky to enjoy the interior, design and comfort of the room, very cosy bathroom, nice flat-screen TV and very good quality breakfast. Also the location one block to the main pedestrian street and surroundings of parks, museums and shops was perfect. Probably the only disturbing feeling was caused by drunk, dirty homeless people just outside the hotel door, but that is not a hotel to solve that problem but the country's economy. I would definitely reccomend the hotel for any kind of occasion!

I've just return from Kaunas, Lithuania. I didn't want to live in my relatives flat, so I chose to live in this hotel. What can I say - for such a price it was wonderfull! By the way, there is a great casino (feels like you are in old egypt) in the ground floor of the hotel, and live music when you have your breakfast. Staff is very kind and helpfull, so don't forget tips.
