“Right in the centre of town!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Nice little hotel right in the centre of the old town. Very pleasant and helpful staff, and the room was great. The breakfast was a little disappointing, not much variety, but all in all the place was lovely. I only stayed for one night, a Saturday, and I was surprised there were not many people out and about in the streets!

Only stayed here for 1 night after being on holiday in Vienna, before flying home out of Bratislava airport. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the entrance into Bratislava's beautiful old town. It is a very old hotel tucked in a side street, but our room was very modern with up to date bathroom and facilities, fridge, safe and tv. It was very comfortable and cosy and would have loved to have stayed longer! Breakfast wasnt as good as other hotels we have stayed in but was adequate and for the price we paid for such a lovely little hotel in a brilliant location, we couldnt really moan.

The streets in the old town are very atmospheric, with plenty of places to eat and drink and all are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Prices are very, very reasonable. The castle is within walking distance (albeit steep in places!) but is well worth the effort.

We stayed midweek so weren't bothered by the bar across the road or any stag parties as other reviews have mentioned, and can imagine that it would definitely spoil your stay, but please don't be put off visiting sometime between Sunday to Thursday as you would be missing out on a beautiful place. If we returned we wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

I arrived at about 10 PM; the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and so were the other receptionists along my 4-night stay at the hotel.
There is a modern elevator in the hotel.
The room I stayed in was comfortable. It has a safe, but I missed a kettle for making coffe/tea. The bathroom was shiningly clean.
Buffet breakfast was excellent, serving more than I expected. The staff was very friendly.
The night before my departure I asked to keep some frozen and refrigerated food in the hotel's freezer/refrigerator. All persons involved were most helpful in dealing with my request.
One point (beyond the hotel itself) visitors should know about: the hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, and the paving stones along 60 to 80 meters from the nearest street with trafic are not very convenient for rolling luggage on wheels...

Room Tip: My room on the 3rd floor was away from eventual noises from a pub across the street.

Just got back from Bratislavia after spending 3 nights at the above hotel. Excellent location in the old town with just a short walk away from bars, restaurants etc. Hotel was clean and comfortable and staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good with a range of cold cheese and meats, fruit, yoghurts, coissants and cereals. Plenty of lovely, strong coffee and juice. You could also order (1 per person) a hot option which included: bacon and eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, or continental sausages. Staff will book airport transport at cost of 23 euros but it is easy to catch bus/tram to station. Only downside to this hotel is that it is off a street with some busy bars. On the Saturday night, and to a lesser degree on the Sunday, there was a disco going on in the one. This backed on to the end rooms of the hotel and there was a distinct thump, thump noise from the bass of the music. We could only just hear it but our friend, who was staying toward the front of the hotel said it was more pronounced there. We were told this disco only happened Wed - Sat but not sure if this changes in the main weeks. It was not awfully noisy but it might upset light sleepers or early to bed types. Something to consider. Sleep quality in our room very good maybe not so in others. All in all would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Be aware of those nearer the disco.

I was very positively surprised by this hotel. We spent two nights there and my wife made a reservation for an "executive studio" type of room. The studio is lovely, new, clean and big. The bathroom is also very big and modern. The breakfast served in the morning is also very good with the possibility to have something from the buffet and/or order a hot dish (scrambled eggs, etc.). We loved to stay there because it's a cosy small hotel perfectly located in the old town. I really recommend it.

We arrived on a Sunday by bus from Wien @ Novy Most mid-March and made a brief walk up toward Michals Gate and Hotel Michalska Brana on Bastova.

I'd read other reviews about noise, but if you are there Sun - Thurs, this is absolutely NOT a concern!

This hotel is UBER modern, clean, and (Sun-Thurs) very very quiet!
The room is spacious, with a refrigerator, great wifi, automated lighting and security, lift, wide stairs, extra space with 2 club chairs and table.

The staff speaks fantastic English, and breakfast was extremely accomodating with capuccinos, espresso, table of foods with cereals, fruits, meats, cheese, yogurt and so on - PLUS you can order a hot breakfast as well - omelet, vegetables, ham and eggs . .

Definitely recommend!

All sights on hand - we are only a 1 minute walk to nearby Saint Michael’s Gate, cafe and entertainment Michalska Street or medieval Kapucinska Street, just about a 5 minute walk to the Opera or Presidential Palace.
