“Worth visiting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

We got the local bus on a beautiful day. Arrived less than 30 minutes later. Really interesting, great views. Shame part of the castle isn't open due to lack of funds. Had a good walk around, then a cold beer purely to rehydrate us. Would recommend.

“Ruins in an interesting place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

The most interesting thing is that , at the foot of the castle, was the old border between the East and the West. See the Memorial to tall the victims of communism.

“It might not be the most imposing castle in Slovakia, but the views are unique!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We took bus #29 at the bus station located under the Most SNP (we bought the one hour ticket which costs about 0.90€) and we got to this castle in about thirty-five minutes.

The castle ticket costs 3€ (1.50€ for seniors/students) and we were practically alone at the place. Well maintained gardens, and amazing views of Austria and two incredible rivers.

We spent an hour sitting on a bank, and seeing how multiple boats were cruising just in front of the ruins of the castle.

Went there today and enjoyed the views from up on the castle, I would recommend not going on a Monday add some parts are closed then. The ruins are pretty impressive and the views are great
