“Good hotel near river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

Good location near river and only few minutes walk to old town and about 10 min to castle.. If you come by boat, its 5 mins walk from pier. Room (executive) was huge and very clean and airy. We had also balcony facing to river. Road between hotel and river, but not much noise can be heard in room. Breakfast was good, many choises and no rush in breakfast room.

Room Tip: If you want nice views, so ask a room facing to river (and ufo-bridge. Upper floor is better.

Great hotel, Fantastically comfortable and traditional. Exceeded expectations in a great location for old town . Bar service a tad slow but a wonderful atmosphere.
Spa most enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: For a quiet night opt for the rooms facing the rear of the hotel

We love staying in this hotel! It gives off the vibe of 18th century Bratislava with nearly private consierge services. It is more than conveniently located in central Bratislava, only a few minutes walk to the Castle and all historical sites.

We have stayed here twice so far - once in the presidential suite and once in a standard double room, both facing the Danube. The rooms are immaculate and the standard is very, very high. The rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms, the cleanliness is second to none.

Hotel's services are only ther best starting from the Receptionist throught he bartender to the waiters in the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast was abundant and easy to please even the most demanding of clients. The bar is stocked up with finest of spirits and some Slovakian rarities which you would not get anywhere else and the bartender is happy to share his knowledge about any of them.

Excellent for Christmas breaks and romantic getawaysm this hotel has the ambience of tranquility and comfort.

The spa and wellness facilities are the cherry on the top. Would highly recommend.

we had travelled around Slovakia for 8 days, a beautiful country, we were not prepared for the noise of a city. the hotel was lovely, really clean friendly staff, great leisure centre great breakfast. our room was at the front of the hotel with a view of the Danube. the noise from the road outside was terrible, cars, train everything was driving by. we asked to be moved and the friendly staff did so with no fuss. perhaps they should mention this when people book a room? pick a room at the back of the hotel, no nice view but much quieter.

Room Tip: pick a room at the back of hotel in order to get some sleep

This hotel is fantastic, there are even chandeliers in the men's toilets. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. The city is a must see if you like old buildings. Restaurants of all nations selling fantastic food at a reasonable price. You need 2 or 3 days at least to see all the sites.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Danube are fantastic at night with the space ship bridge lit up and all the bo...

We spent one night at the Devin Hotel on our way to the centre of Slovakia. At first I thought "oh oh" when I saw the front of the building. But inside ! Everything is nice, clean, immaculate. Rooms are perfect, bathrooms fully equipped. The food is excellent, the breakfast buffet is giant ! (thin pancakes :). The only problem is : if you face the Donau, you do have some traffic noise. But you don't have to face the Donau, it's dirty and not very romantic.

Room Tip: Don't take a room facing the busy road and the Donau (traffic noise)
