“Superb hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

Nice and centrally located, just a few minutes walk to center of the old town. Close to the Danube river and access to sightseeing boats. Very polite and very helpful staff. Clean and good rooms. Very good breakfast. Free minibar. Nice and quiet outdoor terrace. All in all, an excellent hotel.

The hotel oozes the feeling of Bratislava rather than the corporate feeling of a chain. Clean & comfortable rooms with the added bonus of complimentary mini bar. Free WiFi throughout the hotel. Breakfast is great. The staff are perfect. Fabulous city centre location minutes from the historic centre, the Danube and Eurovea a modern shopping centre with beautiful out door promenade & restaurants facing the Danube. I would certainly stay here again.

The Marrol´s is really a great hotel. The staff is really polite and helpful. The hotel is very nice, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is very good, there is everything you could want for and everything is fresh and the staff keeps filling the trays all the time. The location is very good, just a short (maybe 5 min) walk to the old town and to the Eurovea mall as well. They also have a terrace outside and it is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sun.

This hotel is decorated in the style of the 1920s, or as the advertisements for the hotel say: retro chic. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and were willing to give any tourist advice we asked for, as well as recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit. The room had a very classic style, with a chessboard and a coffee pot by the window. The bed had 4 different size and shaped pillows. The bathroom was very modern as far as amenities, but the style was classic. The minibar items and premium satellite TV stations were included in the price. The breakfast buffet was fully stocked, fresh, and often refreshed (I never saw a juice pitcher less than full!), plus the staff were always available to fill any wish. Our stay was a very pleasurable experience. Highly recommended!

This hotel listed in the small luxury hotels of the world magazine is all that is advertised. Great service, great varied and ample breakfast including omelets to order, and luxurious rooms of average size, with well appointed bathrooms. The location is excellent, 3 blocks (about 5 minutes from the old town), a couple of blocks to the Danube and a few blocks to the blue church. It is very close, about 10 minutes, to the modern Eurovea shopping mall and riverside promenade as well as to the new viewing tower and Bratislava castle which also has stunning views. It is located in a quiet residential area just outside of the hustle and bustle of the old town. It is also about a 10 minute, 8.5 euro taxi ride from the train station. The hotel will send a Mercedes taxi to pick you up and drop you off with no hastles. The receptionists, bellmen and breakfast staff are all very courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: They are probably all excellent.

We spent 4 nights in April and found this hotel elegant with a very high quality of service. The breakfast impressed us with a good choice of delicious hot and cold food, and sparkling wine was a treat! The waiters were so helpful - nothing was too much trouble. It was buffet style but they brought us drinks and plates of food if we asked! The bedroom was delightful, with a comfortable bed, bathrobes and slippers and lots of extras including a free minibar which was refilled as we used the contents. A free bottle of wine from the hotel team arrived on my birthday. We ate that evening in the hotel restaurant - my rabbit dish and the risotto were delicious. All plates were beautifully presented. You can't ask for more from a hotel in a quiet location near to the old town. Though beware of metred taxis that charge differing prices for the same journeys.

Room Tip: We had a view of the terrace

A Nice and small hotel with excellent service and focus on the details, 5 minutes walk from Old town. Clean Rooms, lovely bed, and a Great breakfast at reasonable pricing, absolutely recommendable. I loved the towels and water bottles at the gym. The staff was lovely.

Room Tip: The Rooms are small.
