“Amazing attention to detail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We stayed there one night after reading the raving reviews and seeing the very reasonable price. We will definitely come back! I've never seen such friendly staff and attention to detail: from the free drink (juice, wine, sekt or beer) while the reception fills in the official documents for you, to the complementary minibar, water boiler and tea and coffee in the room, the all-organic cosmetics in the bathroom and the free internet everywhere in the hotel.
The rooms and bathroom were spotless, the roof terrace with self-service ice water very quiet and refreshing. Only dark spot, the breakfast buffet was not great: quality of the ingredients could definitely be improved.

Rooms with a romantic-country-Laura-Ashley decor - with a lot of furniture pieces crammed into very few square meters; beautiful but not practical for having an open suitcase anywhere. Quiet rooms, good mattresses, top functioning internet connection, available pc's and printers for free, truly world class breakfast. The hotel is located in a very quiet street, 3 minutes walk from the old town and 8 minutes from the chill out area (and shopping center) Eurovea. Really nice courtyard with free mineral water (though the tap water here is equally good). The staff are nice and always smiling - however when you need transport to Vienna airport do not ask for their assistance; they will book you a cap for 60 euro, instead of the 50 euro on the internet or the 7.2 euro per person with the non stop bus service.
Free minibar in the rooms, yes - but don't get all exited, for a double room this means: 1 beer, 1 coke, ½ bottle of white wine and 4 bottles of water.

Room Tip: Choose a top floor room facing the quiet courtyard - nobody is out there in the evening/night.

Dear Guests,

Thank you for your recent stay at Marrol's Boutique Hotel and your contribution with a review on TripAdvisor. We value each individual feedback and your complimentary remarks are a great source of inspiration and improvement for us.

I was delighted to read that you have enjoyed the hotel facilities including the summer terrace with complimentary beverages, the room décor, proximity to the most popular spots in the city as well as the breakfast and service by our staff. We have reviewed your comment on the transfer arrangements to Vienna airport and are assured to share with you that the standard price for a hotel limousine provides a guaranteed quality of service and comfort in comparison to deals available on-line or the bus link available to public.

It would be a pleasure to welcome you back to our hotel in the near future.

Kind regards,

Monika Slobodova

We stayed on my wife's birthday and it was the perfect place for a special occasion. We arrived on the 9.00 boat from Vienna, and were at the hotel after the short stroll from the river at 11.00. There were two chairs at reception and we were asked if we would like a welcome drink of sparkling wine or anything else. We had sparkling water and were given a leisurely introduction to the hotel and city. They checked on our room and as it had been cleaned we were able to have it straight away.
The room was very comfortable and well equipped. There was a free minibar with half a bottle of white wine, beer, water, and soft drinks. Opposite our room on the third floor was a computer room with two laptops and a printer.
The decor of the whole hotel was tasteful and stylish, with some wonderful artwork. The public rooms, including a library were very comfortable. Between the 1st and 2nd floor there is a terrace with complementary bottles of water which was a great place to relax after sightseeing. We took our half bottle of white from our minibar for an early evening drink.
We ate in the restaurant which was another elegant room. The food was imaginative and well prepared and presented, and there was a good wine list. We had a very good Slovakian pinot noir for 31 euros. Like the rest of the hotel service was attentive but friendly, and made the whole stay relaxing. Breakfast in the restaurant next morning was very good with a wide choice.
The hotel got a taxi to the train station for us when we left and added the 10 euro cost to our bill, thus removing the slight anxiety which often comes with taxi fares.
The area around the hotel isn't anything special, but it is a short walk to the old town, and an even shorter one to the river and the promenade which leads to the bars, restaurants, and gardens aroung the new waterfront mall.
The hotel offers exceptional service and value and I would recommend it very highly as one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Someone has put a great deal of thought and effort into ensuring the hotel offers the best possible experience for guests.

Central location a little bit off the tourist path but still close enough. Just a few minutes’ walk to the old city and the nearest tourist attractions.
Located in a relaxed and quiet area. Staff are extremely helpful and wonderful and so is the breakfast. The room and especially the beds are high quality.
Would definitely go there again if heading to Bratislava.

I'm starting with the big negative: Marrol's is almost impossible to find in Bratislava. There are zero signs that point towards this place, and it's on a side street. My family van wandered around a ways from the hotel for 30 minutes, tired. I finally went into the Crowne Plaza to ask how to get here, and got the map.

That said, Marrol's is a cute inn. I liked the library except for poor wifi, and there's also a pretty terrace. The restaurant is a lovely place to dine.

Rooms were really nice. Good beds, nice shower, it was very comfortable.

This hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, but again, it's easy to get lost in Bratislava, so be careful and take a map.

Bratislava was not my favorite city, but Marrol's was a good place to spend the night.

We read that this hotel is the best in Bratislava and now we understand why.

The rooms are comfortable and well equiped. The breakfast is reach and tasty. We had lunch in the hotel restaurant which we enjoyed, the price was reasonable .The staff, though proffesional, gives you an unique feeling that they are there especially for you, always with a smile.
The guest request is alaways welcomed in a generous way.The location is the best ,a quiet street whihin 10 minutes wallk from the old city center and most attractions.

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a w/end and must admit you just feel that it is a really great place to stay.
You feel you have entered an exclusive club, more so than a hotel.
It's close to the old town, close to the ferry port from Vienna and walking distance to all the major sights of Bratislava.
The rooms are very well maintained and a reasonable size.
The breakfasts are great...lots of variety and very tasty.
Finally the staff are exceptionally helpful in suggestions for dining options and helping with travel arrangements.

It's No.1 in Bratislava because its very good.Look no further !!!
